I salute all of them for being so far away from home & is still happy in Singapore despite the hurdles & challenges they faces. I just hope some people will learn to appreciate them more, by the simplest thing and that’s giving a smile.

I cried watching this. I keep complaining I'm too tired to do excessive works. I'm watching this while on my bed eating burger. Watching this has opened up my eyes. They're fasting yet still hardworking. Gone back from work and straight away cook for sahur. And God, the dishes are not easy to cook. I'm a Muslim myself and working but I CANNOT DO THAT. I will come back home and sleep la after work for long hours. These guys are amazing and hardworking. And Kadir, he is such a sweet and caring guy.
THis also shows me that you can never judge a person without knowing them. This proves wrong the notion of our society that immigrants are bad and dirty.

Those working in Engineering/Construction, we know the real deal these people went through in order to provide for their family back home. I hope all people after reading this, to take a time to say hi, start a brief conversation or even buy them drinks or snacks for them to share with.

This is not true . Where did you get your statement ? Singapore treat their foreign workers in the same way Arab counties does. However , they are not migrant .. they are foreign workers. They don’t get any rights in Singapore. They get hired by company and they become slave of companies. Very poor lives. Sad part, their salary is very poor. A Singaporean citizen will never work for the salary.

I’ve been learning chinese for about 10 years from k1 to sec 2...i only know how to count from 1 to 10 and how to write down my name. This guy is middle aged and from an entirely different culture and background yet it only took 2 months for him to speak simple sentences even without the proper teachers and learning environment. Really shows you how far your hunger for knowledge can bring you.

Smile is a great blessing. Those who get it are indeed rich. Our beloved Prophet had a heart full of sorrows and pain, yet his blessed face was always seen smiling. A great sunnah to be practiced upon.

Being poor isn't a crime brother I am not Bangladeshi but want to tell you biggest wealth is emaan and faith not money. If you read history all great men of God like prophets and saints were poor and lived in poverty while satanic kings who rebelled and denied God were very wealth they lived their lives full of pomp an show by fulfilling all lusts and desires.. This is why the prophet Mohammed PBUH has said "this world is hell for believers and heaven for unbelievers." And "poverty is my pride.".. Prophet Mohammed PBUH

Reciting Ayatul Kursy Brothers and Sisters is a great help, it will protect you while working. My left foot was fractured, supposed to be will be operated by a Doctor but by reciting Ayatul Kursy every night and wherever I go or whatever I do and after I attended Jum'ah twice then my fractured foot is healed and I can walk again without undergoing an operation. Alhamdulillah! ALLAH is VERY MERCIFUL!

I feel so proud as a Singaporean that my migrant friends can take care of each other so well, and that they assimilate so well into our culture.
There is one point that I missed out - that the supervisor take special care to remember those colleagues who are fasting during Ramadan, and pair up with each other.
Also, they take the effort to learn our mandarin, and learn to respect each other culture. So proud as a Singaporean. Keep up the good work, CNA. Excellent job!
