To be fair, the only reasons people are so obsessed with being sweaties is because of the fact that they want to be the next Ninja or Faze Clan, so it would be more accurate to say streamers ruined gaming rather than just sweats,Streamers lead to an influx of sweats and then everything has to be meta gamed
That being said though, i do really hate sweats, especially PvE sweats, its like bro its us against AI opponents we don’t need to be meta we can goof off
as someone who is skilled enough to play comp, but is SOOOO FUCKING TIRED OF LOCKING IN EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN TIME I WANNA ENJOY C A S U A L MODE i would def enjoy going back to before streamers ruined everything.
I'm still not going to forget the time one of my friends got so annoyed at a sweat that they enlisted them into the army.

You must try drg brother. The coop hordeshooters are where it's at, so many chill people😊

The worst thing is that casual mode is infected with tryhards too. I mean you can be a sweat, but atleast please, dont leave comp. Stay contained there. But some for some reason preffer to play in casual and kts like bro cmon.
This is called pub stomping or smth like that, it's when you need a quick burst of dopamine at the cost of other people's fun
not everyone likes to play comp some people might also be afraid of it or just uknow wanna chill out? playing against full teams of competent players all the time can get tiring
It's because it's usually not actually about competition, skill, or improving your gameplay. It's about feeling superior, which takes a lot of effort in comp, so instead they go to the one place they know they can dominate, where people are just having fun and not trying.
Problem is comp sucks
"Single player games? For a man of your talents?"
"It is a peaceful life."
Sweats ruined the entire gaming experience for me as a whole. I mostly play offline games now except for Fortnite and Roblox and TF2.
I relate to this way too hard.
I know I'm not that good at videogames. I don't mind losing, as long as I get to feel like I did something cool every now and then. In TF2 for example, I may have a 1:5 KD ratio, but the few kills I did get still feel gratifying.
The problem begins when people start being toxic about it. It discourages playing more, and therefore improving, too.
“Wow, this sure is a cheeky spot for my sentry base, time to support my team!”
*the same spy killing me and sapping my entire base 27 times in a row and doing literally nothing else*
i remember the time when me and 2 friends tried palying for honor for the first time
we stopped playing entirely after 3 days because a lot of times you would encounter a dude that was just so good, that you didnt know if he played the game since launch, or if he was actually hacking
as a apex player and a octane main, THIS SO REAL AND I FILL DISAPPOINTED THAT THE SWEATY SHOW ON THE BEGINNING WAS ALSO A OCTANE MAIN.
This is why I love coop games. Being better at the game is always a good thing for everyone in coop games, whereas in competitive multiplayer games being better than someone else makes the game less fun for everyone who isn't as good as you.
gaming was ruined by skill based matchmaking and I will die on this hill. Fortnite before SBMM was heaven, ofc there was the occasional sweat but there were an equal amount of easy kill noobs so the matches felt somewhat fair, sometimes you stomp, sometimes you get stomped. now with SBMM after the first win you get, you will get destroyed 100% of the time.
Lowkey the most underrated channel
Thank you mostly mute mayonnaise🙏 I appreciate u
im legit so happy that im not the only one thinking that everybody plays like they are part of an esports tournament, im aware about single player games, but some games (especially fps) do feel and play nicely but they are mainly multiplayer, and theres some sweat generator out there is playing shit like a roblox fortnite rip off like an absolute tryhard that ruins the entire fun
I hate it when after a long day I want to unwind and the game decides to put me in the unemployment lobbies
*This* is why I have so much fun doing things you're not supposed to, especially in TF2, i.e. glitching under the map on pl_frontier and getting a tele to trap people there. Is it grieving? Maybe, but I suck ass on anything that isn't CTF, so that's how I have my fun.
I'm an avid fan of the WW1 Game series by BlackMill Games and M2H, so Verdun, Tannenberg, and Isonzo.
For the longest time, one particular name was infamous within the community and well-known by anyone who played for a fair amount of time. This guy was called Zab. This dude was an absolute menace everywhere he went, being able to finish the match with 150+ kills and around 15 deaths EVERY SINGLE MATCH (for reference I'm an average player and usually finish closer to 60 kills and 30 deaths).
*_So many_* hackusations were made against the dude throughout his playtime, but supposedly he was totally legit. I don't really blame them though since the types of flick-shots he would pull off looked incredibly similar to an aimbot.
He also participated in the occasional E-sports competition BlackMill would hold for Verdun, but his team (consisting of his personal goon squad of equally terrorizing individuals) would win _every. single. time._
This went on for years until one day BlackMill dropped the bombshell that Zab had been permanently banned from the games. Not for cheating mind you, but rather for "greifing and toxic behavior" according to the powers-that-be.
And I'll be honest, I've been much happier enjoying these games ever since he got hit with the ban hammer. It just goes to show that there comes a point when someone can become TOO good at a game, when fighting an opponent is no longer a challenge to overcome, but rather a one-sided clubbing session that's a hellish steamroll for one side and a boring as hell cakewalk for the other.
Listen. If you're playing a game, and you're not having fun, then you should stop playing that game. Play something else, like a single player or PvE game. If you don't have fun while playing specifically PvP games, then stop playing them all together. (if only for a few months) I got fed up with PvP games sometime in 2024, so I just stopped playing them. I switched to mostly PvE games and single player games, like I said, and I'm having a much better time. "If it's not fun, why bother?"
That's very sound advice friend, I do mostly play single player games. Sometimes there's just nothing that hits the spot like a pvp game doe
Wish I knew this before a laggy, T-baggy Sonic played like a bitch for 3 games against me, a Ganondorf. Smash Online sucked, and this mother fucker had no spine. The final kill was from a spring by the ledge. I broke the game afterwards I was so mad. I regret nothing as my family never played Smash with me anyways
I just feel like I can't keep up with the playerbase of any fps PvP game I play, especially with modern fps games having crazy mobility and player movement. The only PvP game I still enjoy is Chivalry 2, and even then it's a gamble if the game works or not and if I get a good team or not. My philosophy is that PvP games are fundamentally flawed because someone always loses, and therefore someone doesn't have fun.
@@OmegaBoyVevo have you tried co-op pve's like warframe and deaprock glactic?
I relate to this issue. I want to vibe in the game and not LOCK IN; shit is too stressfull. I literally got to the point where I play single player games over multiplayer games. It is painful.
It's frustrating to make a mistake in a team based online game, your team will literally all dogpile you and act like you just committed a serious crime, like bro, I'm not happy about the mistake i made either, it's just a game, losing ain't the end of the world, they seem to take losing as a personal insult.
I remember a game I just had recently in overwatch where I as a simbra could distract their widow, sojourn and mercy but my team still coudn't kill a hazard with moira my stats weren't so good but that makes a fuckton of sense sombra can't do that well without support dx but ofc some people like to completly ignore their mistakes and focus on someone else (it was a quickplay game btw)
@engineergaming3830 these people need to understand that losing an online game is completely normal, games should be about fun, regardless whether you win or lose, but these people's experience depends entirely on every match going exactly their way, and they throw a tantrum if they lose
Players will always optimize the fun out of the game
i don't ever have this issue w/ any game like TF2 which has next to no SBMM, only ever have this type of problem with games that use skill based matchmaking in QP-like gamemodes.
Sad to hear you have been unlucky with TF2 tho, hope you get more fun lobbies eventually.
i left tf2 because playing sniper is hell, because all the sweat enemy snipers will headshot you as soon as you reveal 1 pixel of your head
May I suggest demoknight? Surfing is not too hard, pain for sniper can be serious

That's why singleplayer games exist
i have a sneaking suspicion that you're one of the freaks

Sure, they do exist, but some people prefer online games over singleplayer. I personally like both, but I can understand why people only like online games and it *can* hurt by wanting to play a casual game, only for everyone in the lobby to be sweating so hard you can practically smell their stench from your room.
I personally don't have this problem, I can play really dang well in these online games, but I'm merely speaking for the people who don't put 10 hours a day gaming, and it is very frustrating when you're just wanting to blow off some steam.
Love this content, and a fellow tf2 south african

also thanks for pointing this out
This is why I only play single player and co-op
the best way to beat a sweat is to figure out what strategy they are using and hard counter it. TF2 rocket jumper: Gunslinger engine. COD Run and Gun twitch shooter. Riot shield or any motion triggered explosive. Marvel rivals: … ummm…. a team not full of 12 year olds?
Sweats are always one trick ponies, they are scary at first, but when you figure out their pattern they are extremely predictable. All sweats need momentum in their game play, 99% of the time they are using speed as their greatest strength and their skill comes from repetition, so map knowledge and batting are your best friend.
As for that 1% there is really not much you can do. This breed of try hard is an enigma. You wont get killed by them all the time because unlike the 99%ers they actually strategize and are not zipping around the map shooting at the first thing that moves. They are also primarily butting heads with the people at the top of the score board so the only time they will go out of their way to remove your spine through your mouth is “Wrong Place Wrong Time” situations, You will know when one of these try hards kill you because you will not be annoyed so much as challenged to kill him back, usually after the third kill. You wont though. By all means try you may get lucky, but you wont.
If how ever you do want to see these try hards in their natural habitat. Play Hunt Showdown, i wont lie you will hate the experience, but that game is full of 1%ers. You might need to play a few matches to see one but you know when one kills you because they wont have a friend with them and the last thing you hear is the bullet sending you back to lobby
counter example 10x cp_orange kunai spy trickstaber
@ Ya, No, you know vary well community servers like are the furthest thing from competitive or even casual. Thats a game mode you join when you know fully well what you are getting into, not something that forces you to play it

I love this video. I do feel like it should be around 20 mins and have a resolution at the end. Maybe talk about the people who usually are tryhards, burnout, and that you in the corner laughing at a funny ragdoll is having more fun than the person trying to cap at the end of the day.

the best part of a pvp game is making cool plays so people will naturally get better and once they do they won't just die easily or make dumb mistakes you can call that being a sweat but it's just another way of enjoying the game

I can't relate to this very much. When I hear, "players will optimize the fun out of the game," I think, "the fun comes from thinking about and optimizing the game." I barely actually sweat any games I play though; rather, what I expect is to lose
That's why the full quote is _"If given the chance_ players will optimise the fun out of the game." Making the optimisation fun is the hallmark of a good game
0:34 soldier tf2 (real!)
I played TF2 before and I was very new, the sweats who play as engineer told me harshly that I wasn’t help by catching things on fire on every player just in case.
And I got confused. :,)
SA TF2 servers can be absolute hell to play through, maining medic like I do especially becomes impossible to deal with since *everyone* starts targetting me but my team is full of morons who don't realise that not defending me means I don't exist
2:12 Engineer too. Those a-holes will keep shutting you down.
Look I played a lot of gunslinger engie, and idk if I have skill issue. But playing engie is gambling between "my team is good I can hold this point for the intended stalemate" to "I can't even place a mini sentry for a minute"
I swear it's ever soldier/spy sweat that ruins the game for anyone
main reason why i prefer playing with friends or just downright coop
oh no where are all the f2p I can shoot and they wont shoot back😭😭😭 unplayable
It's really bad in hero shooters like Overwatch and Marvel Rivals. A hero could deadass have 1,000,000 HP, one shots all heroes in the game with an autolock m1 and an ultimate that ends the game immediately and has their team win the game that they get within 10 seconds, and they will deadass be like "nah, this doesn't need a nerf at all."
This shit needs to be on the front of gaming youtube.
Competetive games are the most fun where there is no meta
This is me with those increasingly difficult Pokémon challenges lmao. Like bro wtf that was a 4 hour stream of just *theorycrafting* how tf is that even fun at that point like what.
mfw playing No Big Deal and everyone keeps deathmatching instead of actually engaging with the deal aspect of the game because apparently no one knows how to have fun unless they specifically win
I can't compete with these kids man. When I was growing up games were just a fraction of my time, like an hour a day on weekdays, two on weekends. These kids have got to be playing it all day every day constantly I was never this good. Can't play Fortnite unless it's no build, can't play Minecraft pvp, can barely play COD at this point because of SBMM. Counterstrike is the only game I've ever enjoyed competing in, and it's unplayable now since any comp match above 15000 mmr is just HvH. TF2 is ok for now depending on what map you queue for but as the game gets older it's only going to get worse. Every multiplayer game lasts about two months from before every game gets infested with cracked players. I just stick with singleplayer like RDR2 or pve games like Helldivers 2.
If it wasn't for sweats in PvP games, I wouldn't have played PvE and Singleplayer games the most

I really think you need to blame the game designers before you blame the players. There is game design created specifically to address this kind of issue. Better programmed skilll-based matchmaking for one. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Yo-Kai Watch have 2 seperate online matchmaking systems for a reason. One is for casual and one for competitive. It's not the player's fault for being more passionate and skilled than you so much as it is the game designer's fault not putting in features that address skill gap.
See for me the deal is. Yeah I will learn to improve.
But I don't want to be yelled at.

They go from CSGO, to rocket league, to fortnite, to league and to gtav
they play only this and the cycle repeats like that all the time and they just get angrier, sweatier and angrier every day
And whenever you want to play something chill like l4d2 or a less comp game they just say it's just shit
l4d2 is rly chill but avoid versus, that shit is cancerous
i know the feeling all too well
In another word
Tryhards
its a skill issue
"I get reported in the practice range sliime." Crazy edit.
Ironically, I'd say if you become too competent at a game it can also be very frustrating, because now you have these expectations for yourself that you know you can pull off these stunts you've done before, but because you aren't doing it too well today, it just leaves a bitter feeling that'll make you angry at times.
I say this as a TF2 player who has fallen victim to the oh so stereotypical kunai Spy, Dead Ringer loadout. No joke idk what's happened in the last few months but it feels like I've turned into some MrSwipez/MrPaladin Spy main that has been getting these sometimes non-sensical stabs and it's become too addicting to let go off.
However as a result, Spy has become more frustrating to play sometimes as I'm now aware that it's possible for me to do these in-game manoeuvres, and any time I fail at these opportunities since he's arguably the weakest class in the game, I get very annoyed with myself quickly as I could've helped my team greatly in a sticky situation.
this ^ you can't just expect competent players to willingly play like shit for someone elses entertainment
Lowkey fighting the urge to delete TF2 after every match
SBMM was a mistake
See, this is what us minecraft singleplayer people, and dwarf fortress fans don't have to deal with, sure, stressful sometimes..but at least we can begin again and grow and learn as opposed to being kicked from a match of dustbowl for being a spycrab.
One time I decided to play League of Legends out of curiosity and I was legit brand new and only playing because 4 of my friends wanted me to play. We played one match where I didn't even do that bad but they shit on me so hard that I never touched the game again, and they actively refused to speak to me and still never have since that match. Like holy fuck bro there is more to life than a shitty moba, I was just tryna have fun with the bois.

I not that good at games but I do "sweat" at some games honestly that due to a childish desire to want to be the best. which is dumb. also tiring. a game I do know I enjoy is don't starve I just have a habit of trying to get the parts of the game I hate done quickly and it's exhuasting . exciting at the boss fights but so exhausting to rush things. most notable when you try rushing a boss like beequeen before year one
also just fuck snipers. they're boring in every game that has them in it, and just get to sit back too much
Literally tf2 almost got ruined by meat your match update where competitive sweats made valve change fun weapons to a useless or downgrade version
Nah
@eze1196 id win
That’s not what happened. Valve changed them to be more “competitively viable” simply because they disliked the sixes meta and found it stale. Yeah, there were people who complained about these weapons, but comp players can ban any weapon they want anyway, and a good majority of them aren’t even banned. At the end of the day, it was all Valve’s fault, and pinning it on the comp community is both wrong and doesn’t lead to meaningful dialogue.
@@HyperStormH definitely true but the majority of competitive forums made those complaints and valve took them for reference especially the running gloves of urgently. While yes I can blame valve for making the changes that doesn't mean the forums aren't responsible for valve taking notes
@@psyduckpsy8726 it was a minority not everyone.

how sweats ruined gaming
Yeah it takes really long time to learn tf2 or any competitive FPS or RTS, like my time is slowly compressing, how the hell I'm going to be a good player.
I haven't played overwatch since 2020, I got on Marvel Rivals as one of my ex-overwatch-pro friends was FIENDING for it, when we got in a game and I heard him say "Bro what are you guys doing we need a tank" it was like a PTSD flashbang.
I'll never play games where hating your team comes easier and earlier than ever getting a chance to get miffed at an enemy.
The guy was frothing at the mouth 5 seconds into character select.
This entire genre of game is not healthy, be it League, Siege, Apex.. it's just not worth it, perchance.
Don't get me wrong! You WILL catch me go 30-3 on sniper on some bumass match of Badwater at 2 in the morning, I'd prefer to have heard about myself having unconsciously entered a hospital than see I've learnt nothing in 12 years of playing TF2. But I'm not a robot!
I see mfs boast about finishing battlepasses in 2 weeks, KDs out the wazzoo, hours in the hundereds logged in a matter of months, energy drinks down the hatch and BPM monitors off the charts; Gaming sleeves worn out with sweat cracking the faux leather off the racing chairs! This is NOT okay!
And when there is a meta in the game it just shuts down experimenting. So it boils down if you use the meta you're part of the problem, if you don't use the meta you will have the meta be used against you.
If players can't have fun while losing the game, it's a bad game
If you can't have fun while losing but others can, you are a crybaby
If players can't have fun while winning, it's a MOBA
I feel like this may be considered a hot take and ppl will say "just get good" "aimlabs is free" but there is something generally wrong with these sweats when you have to start using scripts. I've been playing video games for a long time as a possibly autistic person it's been my only hobby. and when I tell you, I'm no where close to these sweats I mean it. I mean I never was too competitive but that didn't change the fact I've progressively and slowly ofc gotten better. I just find it unrealistic at this point that people are expected to always hit every shot, AND in fact make every one of those shots a headshot. I'm not fucking doing that maybe I was able to put up with it in the past but no way fuck that. I'm an avid tf2 causal player, a causal gamer dare I say ;3. And I would say things are generally causal here in America there are always sweats topping the leader board with 50 kills and whatever but it's not terrible. I just do remember when I was much younger and the general gaming sphere was just so much more causal. What ruined everything was not just the min-maxing sweats it's. SKILL BASED MATCHMAKING!!!!!! It forces people to get better faster and sweat their genitals off. But luckly I can still have fun on tf2 that's all I need it's a truely perfect game or the closest we are going to get.
Srry for ranting much luv
TF2's casual is just kinda awful though. The only way for the match to be somewhat balanced again is to have a few of your teammates or enemies to leave so auto balance can MAYBE become active and MAYBE put the steam rollers on the other team. Was playing the map Patagonia (3 stage map) for 3 matches which lasted 2 hours and it took 2 and a half matches for the server to finally put me on the other team after getting a kdr of around 90:25 TWICE.
I started to feel bad for the enemy team and just switched off to a different class so the enemy team could do something.
I really enjoy playing games, and I also pay close attention if my enemies are also having fun, which means even if I do good, I dont want to spawncamp, I dont want to pocket or be pocketed. You can slow yourselves down sweats, problem is you feel obliged not to, points are pointless and so is your life if you make sure other team doesnt play the game for sole reason why they play the game, to have FUN.
