I use cornstarch and synthetic probiotics, you can just use salt to ferment food (see my latest video posted). I can ferment it for about 8 to 12 days before it can be used. You can feed it directly or cook it

It will depend on what food you compost, here I use banana stems to compost into food, I usually use 02kg of yellow corn flour + 01 packet of probiotics to compost with about 10-15kg of food (stems). If using only salt it can take about 2 weeks. I use probiotics so it usually only takes about 4-6 days to be ready to use.

Banana usually has acids, i am wondering if those acids can't affect chickens negatively?
I still regularly feed my chickens fermented food like this. It's economical, effective, and I haven't seen any sick chickens yet.

The main problem was that we don't know what the ingredients were besides the banana plants. I saw in another thread you said that you forgot to do that. Other than that, I have no problems with your video. I did learn something.
I live in Missouri and bananas won't survive through the winter so I have to bring them inside as well as many other plants. So I can't grow enough to feed animals but every little bit helps.
