I know this girl. I feel so bad for her. She's been through a lot. For the years her mom was gone she was constantly told how awful her mom is, so I'm sure she's so confused right now. My parents were "sent away" as well and Ellie and I both lived in the same creeker orphanage. It was horrible, especially for the younger kids. It's tough as a kid, having no one around who cares about you at all.

I’m so sorry you had to experience that, I can’t even begin to imagine how all of you kids were made to feel.
As an outsider, I cannot fathom how this arbitrary treatment of children is not the line that gets crossed that informs EVERY member that they're in an abusive cult! Warren is so focused on the adults he wants to punish/control that he doesn't consider the collateral damage to the children. Possibly because there are so many, he seems to think of them as a group of objects rather than individuals. It's the most revealing aspect of his sick, evil mind. I do NOT know why God allows children to be born in to such situations, but he does, all over the world. Even so, I also know he knows each one by name and cherishes each one individually. You are all survivors due to the unique gifts God strengthens you with, even those who continue living in the cult. I pray for you all ever since discovering this channel and learning this cult still exists in modern times.
I watched the interview. I thought the reporter did a great job and was very respectful. The strength and kindness that radiated from the mother was palpable. I’m praying for her.
I lost my baby last year from a late miscarriage... I blame myself even though I know it wasnt. I can't imagine the mental toll if someone I thought was next to God saying it was my fault and I was a murderer.
It is not your fault, my dear. I've suffered 3 miscarriages and it's hard and can be devastating. But it is by no means, your fault. I'm sorry you had to go through that. It WILL be okay. God bless you, Jesus is with you my love.

The original Idaho group is the Bill Roundy group, or rather family, in the small farming community of Monteview. Bill was her father (I think). He joined the Priesthood group in the 50's I think (renamed FLDS in the 1980's by Rulon Jeffs). Bill had 7 wives. There are now a bunch of ex-flds in Idaho, but I think most of them are farther North around(y) Bonner's Ferry, to be near Winston Blackmore's Creston Canada group or family.
But to this day, the priesthood group is the FLDS (vs the church group: LDS), which the FLDS priesthood has now had many breakaways since the FLDS name was added in the 1980's for legal protection, as all the lawsuits got underway by the splitoffs/"apostates", as the Jeffs were in the throws of apostasy themselves (sex crimes) and subsequent criminal charges by the state.
So this is a synopsis basically delineating the difference between the Priesthood vs the Church ever since the 1890 manifesto and the subsequent formation of the polygamy fundamentalists ("the priesthood").
In the dealings of God with man, there are 3 entities, in order of heirarchy:
1. The Priesthood or authority of God,
with a Council of 7, and 70 Sanhedrin.
2. The Church or people of God, with a Council of 3 presidents and 12 apostles.
3. The Kingdom or world power of God, with a Council of 50.

My younger brother was part of their family, and it was widely known that her father Bill Roundy has married 7 woman all at the same time. It was also said by the leaders that this was a fulfillment of a Bible prophesy that "7 women shall take hold of one man":

I’m originally from Idaho. Have many Mormon loved ones in Utah. It wasn’t until I listened to the Bundyville podcast that I started to understand about the different LDS or FLDS groups in southern Idaho. Check out that podcast when you have a chance.

I know this woman she was a sweetheart and a second cousin to my Mom. I can hardly watch stuff like this, knowing that my Mom is still there with my beautiful younger sisters believing in Warren Jeff's.
As one of the evil outsiders, it blows my mind to think that any group of people, regardless of if they were born into it, would allow a group of men to dictate their lives in this way. It's sad

There are a lot of FLDS families in Southeast Idaho. I live in the Pocatello area and I see them frequently in Winco and Joann. I work as a cashier and they don't care for conversation. You may get a friendly word or two from some, but others keep their lips tights.
Bountiful, BC, Canada is part of the Warren Jeffs group which has had the gocernment come down upon them for the pasf 2 decades which led to a split wuthin the Bountiful group.

The "priesthood group " is what the FLDS group was called when Bill roundy joined. Then later on they became known as FLDS.

The most honest are also the ones who can cause the biggest problems by not lying for the religion.
I know this channel is focused more on the FLDS experience, but you have both shared your faith journeys along the way. I wonder if you have a reaction to the news that the LDS church has been fined millions and is still under investigation by the IRS? It’s quite the story, but I haven’t seen it on the mainstream news.

We go back and forth on how much LDS content or not we should put on this channel, and for now we are just going to try and stay in the polygamy realm. The LDS and Post LDS communities can get very hostile towards one another, and we want to avoid that all together. =)

Priest River is in what would be considered North Idaho. There really isn't an "East Idaho." You have the northern panhandle and southern Idaho.

So why aren't the current leaders of the FDLS being arrested for sex trafficking of minors? I do not understand why our socieity won't stand up for children and women who are in such abusive situations. Freedom of religion is one thing, but deliberately hurting children is another and this should be stopped!
Because only recently have new leaders been coming out of the woodwork. We had a while there where everyone was free of that but of course, someone had to mess it up again..

@Cathy Rawlins Such a long story.. After the UO mess, all of the leaders kind of just disappeared and everyone was evicted and moved out of town. Only now, we have Heleman gathering everyone who will follow and we're once again losing our families to that bs.

I believe my grand mother's father was a "leftover" polygamist. They changed the law in 1893 there were still many polygamist my grandma (along with many other 2nd 3rd wives) & children were sent to colonies such as Colorado City. My grandma only saw her father once or twice a year. When she was 15 or 16 she finally got sent to Logan to live with her Dad. Soon after she 🤔I think eloped. All this is fuzzy she told much to my children's father but never to us (he my children's father was not LDS he was & is a biker)
My mom is Dallon Oaks cousin so she did genealogy on her mother's side, it was easier because they come from a first wife. I suspect that Hyrum oaks was polygamist, because he only spent 3 months a year with the family. Mom said "long enough to beat the 13 children & get great grandma pregnant. I'm looking into genealogy where things get fuzzy between 1890 & 19teens

I think he abused the power he had. I haven't met anyone who shares that view. I was called into his office a lot and he was horrible. He also sent my parents away because he was angry at my sister and I. Obviously gave them a different reason for it though
Lyle called my friend in to see him one day. He started bitching at her for all these things he'd heard about her. Lyle was a few minutes into his rant before he mentioned her name, only he called her by a name that wasn't her. Turned out he had called in the wrong woman. She had a name similar to the person that Lyle had heard the rumors about.

I imagine you don't have control over the ads that are shown during your video, but I thought I should let you know what ads I'm being shown. I'm 21 minutes into the video and have been shown two ads for a church. I just skipped them but now I wish I'd paid more attention to which churches they were for... anyone else seeing these ads?
No, I got an ad from an electronic store. But in our country we rarely have ads from churches.
I didn't get a church either. TH-cam has an algorithm that tries to pick ads they think you'll be interested in based on your location and viewing history (it's not great at this but it tries). So if you see ads for churches it's likely because this church is running a campaign specific to the area where you live (or where your VPN says you're located), or because TH-cam sees that you watch a lot of religion based content.
For example: I live in Utah but many of my YT ads are for lawyers in Colorado, because I watch a lot of true crime content and my VPN says I'm in Denver.
I watch an exmormon channel that has said people report often that they get LDS church ads on their videos. I think the ad algorithm sees that you're watching content around religion and serves ads that are similar.
