This was an awesome segment and well done! Good to hear well informed opinions and perspectives of the roster and the current state of CU football. The historical context was a nice bonus.
People have yet to understand Coach Primes overall reach and effect. There are kids not even in high school yet sending him game tape claiming they want to play for him. Some of the guys currently at CU or coming to CU played for him in high school, went to one of his youth camps, or played for someone close to him either on staff or otherwise. Notice some of the DL & DB’s he’s recently got from the portal either played together in college, high school, or they played under Coach Kelly and already know his defense. The chemistry will build quicker than many think. The haters will hate. But the coaching staff and players will make everyone eat their words.
Need to build a big time dline, so far I don't see a great dline. They are decent but nothing special. The 5 star from UW, Smalls, had 20 something tackles and no sacks in his best year. Not exactly stellar. Whatever we have now though is better than last year. But to really compete among the big boys ,you need a great front 7. Williams, Kanavis, Joel Steed, Renfro, Chad Brown, Biekert, Ted Johnson. Gary Howe was damn good too. That was the core of the best CU teams.

I think this is one of the best vids I've watched on CU football since Sanders was hired. You guys were pretty honest and fair about the players departing. While I am generally against pushing guys out, Sanders is going by what the NCAA says is OK, so that's just the way it is. My big concern would be how well all these new players gel with each other, especially along the OL and DL. I think CU's biggest needs are along the DL. They are thin there and most of the best ones in the portal have found a landing spot. Still some good ones though. Also, Sanders may not be around all that long. The Florida job will be opening up soon, and he may jump on that one. Miami and FSU have good coaches and I don't see them departing, though they may go to the pro ranks. If either of these jobs open up, especially FSU, Sanders will leave. Just my opinion, and only time will tell. Good vid though.
Can't rely only on portal. Need to get an SEC Dline. Look at UGA with their recent d tackles getting drafted. So far, Prime can't get a bigtime d tackle. Bear Alexander went to USC. The D end, Smalls, from UW was a 5 star but his production is terrible. Best year he had 20 something tackles and no sacks. Can't rely on these 2nd rate players. But better than our 3rd rate D last yr
I’d argue they have a better coaching staff than any SEC team. It’s the literal GOAT, former NFL players, former cfb head coaches, and elite recruiters from all over the country. And, when you say SEC, you’re only talking about two or three teams.
I seeing us beating TCU to start it out. 3-0 going into Oregon. It's going to be a toss up. I see us pulling an upset against USC. Winning out until Utah for another toss up. 11-1. But that one loss is going to be a very close game.
Maybe coach prime.....told Jordan dominate to not hit his son or even come close to hitting his son. No need to come off edge hard if there's no chance of a real sack.

I get the impression he is a former player but I don't recall the name and my internet searches bring up nothing. Just curious cause I always enjoy what he has to say and also being a lifelong CU fan/Boulder native/CU grad who still to this day has a blinding hatred for Cornhuskers I loved that part of the video 😆
I don't know this to be true, but I believe a lot of these guys from the previous regime had this plan together behind closed doors and chose to leave together as a group, sort of as a pact to leave no matter what happens. Obviously because there's really only a couple dudes left who are keeping a starting spot and also staying.

I’m riding with Deion and Colorado but 10 wins ain’t happening. 7 at best but I’ve predicted 6-6 with a bowl win 7-6 season ending record. Successful season but the staff and players will be hungry going into the 2024 season.
I guess if any other coach that did this it wouldn't be referred to as a circus. Im tired of hearing everything that Coach Prime does is a circus, clown show, all big hype.

Jp you know haters won't do there homework. There are alot of connections from either coach prime or his assistants
