I came to the comments looking for someone to be calling out the ignorant pitbull slander, and it took awhile, but I have found it. Thank you for sharing that info, pitbulls get a bad rap because of the way people treat them and train them, and that's not their fault.

WARNING: *BIG* RANT ABOUT HOW CRUEL PEOPLE ARE TO SNAKES BELOW
Did you know in rattlesnake roundups so many snakes are killed that it's counted in pounds killed instead of individuals? Rattlesnakes are important parts of the environment, and humans just broke into their home, put non-native predators in, and are killing them all because the snakes feel the need to defend themself from these new predators. Usually when somebody defends rattlesnake roundups I say "Is rounding up all foxes to kill them and it's measured in pounds instead of individuals cruel?" and when they inevitably say yes because foxes are cute, I say "Then it's also cruel against snakes. They're literally both wild animals."
And, like, seriously, rattlesnakes at least have the decency to warn you that you're close to them so you can move away. They only bite if they think you're a threat, or if you smell like food. sorry about the snake rant. when I start mentioning animals that get slandered, snakes are always the first thing I bring up, because they really don't deserve it.
Most deaths caused by snake ownership are usually caused by some guy thinking keeping a venomous snake makes them look tough but don't have the proper training and it gets put on all snakes. The other deaths caused by snake ownership is just human stupidity. Snakes don't know the difference between your arm and your neck, so when you're handling a big snake that is able to accidently choke you, it's best you have a partner there with you.
And about how snakes will "size you up", it literally makes no sense. No prey in the wild wouldn't stay still enough for a snake to size it up, snakes just go for it. Heck, I've heard there are some cased of snakes splitting themselves open by trying to eat something too big for them. The only reason a snake would want to eat you is if you smell like their prey. Plus, it's best to feed snakes pre-killed, frozen-thawed meals. Live meals may fight back and injure your snake. Unless it's eggs, ofc, but Egg Eating Snakes can tell via smell how old the egg is and if there's a baby bird in it. Ratsnakes on the other hand, are a lot dumber and will eat plastic eggs and I've even seen a video of one trying to eat an ostrich egg because it smelled an egg, and it's better to feed them mice and rats anyways. That's how they got their name in the first place.
And I can go on and on, but I think it's best to stop here, because we're now off topic about snake cruelty. To end it on a happy note, Ball Pythons, due to their very docile nature, if the Igbo people of Central Africa find a dead one, they'll make it a little coffin and give it a funeral.
And one more thing I should've added: It's still OK to be afraid of snakes, it's drilled into us that snakes are scary. And honesty? It's also OK to be want to kill a wild animal that came into your house like with bugs and spiders. But I'm saying it's not OK to go around mass killing the animals when they're in the wild, unless they're already fatally wounded, are highly invasive and is ruining the environment, if they have rabies(but snakes can't have rabies), or you plan to do something with the animal you killed and not just killed it because it's scary.
