The only thing wrong with the city's carriage ban is that it doesn't take effect immediately. It's cruel to force those horses to pull heavy carriages full of fat, lazy tourists through city traffic in the Texas heat and cold. Half of them look broken down and miserable. Most other major tourist cities have already recognized the unnecessary cruelty of this outdated, pretentious nonsense and banned them. I'm glad San Antonio finally caught up.
