  • Our now 12 week old son was fitted with his Pavlik Harness at 10 weeks, this is our journey.
We managed to get Max assessed via video call whilst on holiday, given his harness was no longer fitting properly… I am really glad I was persistent.

Brilliant news, I hope you and Rory can enjoy the remaining holiday. Even with two under two's to look after.

Two under 2 is an adventure in itself 😂

I am SO sorry you and Max had to go through this. What a little trooper he is!! I am frantically taking notes of all the questions I will be asking at our appointment, like what signs do I need to look out for that would suggest my babe has grown and the harness isn’t fitting etc. I’m also so worried about my little girls creases and her skin not being able to breath, she’s such a chunky little bug plus we’re in Australia and coming into summer now 😭 it’s heartbreaking. I am so so grateful for all of your tips. ♥️

Bless you, it’s so stressful isn’t it! Obviously depending the instructions your hospital have given, you could put a vest under the harness, or just get harness covers from Etsy or somewhere similar? I found they really helped! You’ll be amazed how quickly you become an expert in all things ‘harness’! I tried to shimmy a wet wipe in Max’s creases just to remove any sweat build up, I was so conscious of changing his position I didn’t take him out unless absolutely necessary which I know some people do as standard.
At your follow up appointments your hospital should be checking the skin to make sure it’s not too sore and things like that!

Good for you guys. He has great parents around him which money can't buy.
I think you and Rory are doing a great job. Guilt should not be there though. You are by no means experts at this so can only go by advice given. 💚

Thank you! I know, you’re right but very frustrating!
