Keep sending your sims to work. I like to send them to long shifts. You can also get money by completing quests. Sometimes I get money from watching ads, the daily rewards, & opening the family chest.

How do you select just one wall for the interior?
Click on the wall color you want then in the bottom middle it should say “apply to room” click on that & it should switch to “apply to wall”

I got it from an event. I don’t remember which event it was though
I think that you can get it now by one of those surprising choice but it's so expensive
And if you want one there is an event that is happening in 3d or 4th may I don't really remember
