The TB test has rolled round and will be good to get it done for another 5 years. Could we potentially go longer? and where and why does it effect some people?
How times have changed Andrew, as kids we were paid to cut and clear Manuka for pasture and now farmers are planting it. Still can remember when our herd was TB tested for the first time in the 1960’s. Possums are big carriers of TB 🤔Bloody Aussies 😂
TB is a huge problem over here in the UK it's devastating the amount of losses they have One farm lost its best cow and they had been a closed herd that had been a closed herd for over 10 years with no outside stock entering. Another had his first positive ones in years and others regularly loose them It's mainly badgers over here but after study done on deer at abattoirs it's been found a lot of those are carriers too Over here the jab goes in the neck
Interesting that you bring them back through the shed for TB testing-I tell them to come at milking time I dont like bring them back through outside of milking time
I’m glad we don’t have any TB testing here in Canada, I was just thinking about how she was spreading leukosis through the herd not changing needles like that but maybe that’s not a concern down there
@@TheOnceADayFarmer Thank you!! In Uruguay we all do TB and brucellosis testing as an obligation of the state to be able to sell the milk to the industry.

Good work.
My herd had their test couple month's ago. All clear 😊 We are on a 4 year cycle in northland
The plantings look really good
Well done

Enjoyed the video ❤
Thanks 🙏
Tb is rampent in ireland, worse now than it ever was. Alot of herds being culled@@TheOnceADayFarmer
Hard work is the key to success🇧🇩
Nice video, testing is very different to Ireland, 2 jabs in the neck a long slow process.
damn the neck would be way slower
Cant believe that grass. Still not much up here however the rain is becoming more regular slowly
Hi I like your video
I'm surprised that the girls are not wearing masks Andrew.

The herd has just been dried off for the season, so it would have been a special run through anyway.
Ahh fair enough, just thought it’d be quicker just running them trough rather than when milking but what ever works 👌
Mate, great info in this video! You're not as silly as you look :)
😂

Nope lol
Ohh true! So do you get it over there?
Any possibility of a TB vaccination
Hmmm not that I know of
Why would you not do that during milking?
Only took 30 mins compared to 3 hours 👍
1080 is bs
