Well i think this will be the jacket that I bring with me for our summer cruise to Alaska. With the high possibility of cool weather and rain, this looks to be a nice option. Thoughts?

Funny how you mention brining this on a cruise to Alaska. I just watched this video while on a cruise returning from Alaska to Vancouver . A cruise where this jacket would have been an asset. Ordered now and will have for the next trip up to AK! Thanks for uploading the thorough review!

I would really like to know if the inside of the pockets stays dry after being in the rain for a while.
I got the Winter Jacket today, lovely warm lining ,nice material,just a bit short on the sleeve fir me if i was wearing a hoody or something under it then it wouldn't fit but
the tacvasen bomber jackets are amazing quality,the ones with the orange lining.
they do make some nice gear. im loving my jacket. its great
I wish companies would stop using the plastic velcro for the wrist cuff adjustments. I have the same soft shell as this kind but it’s a condor brand. I found the velcro stops sticking after a while. Ive been looking at getting one of these soft shell jackets. Dont get me wrong.. condor is a good brand but its also double the price of the tacvasen.

I like the detachable hood. It looks like it could use a few more pockets though.
I would find it very annoying to keep having to adjust the peak of the hood. I have a heated hoodie with a very large hood that falls down over my eyes. Almost want to cut it.

i like big hoods. i think its because i usually wear them with a baseball hat. so it never falls in my eyes
