The Plunge is the fastest and largest snow tubing park in Virginia; standing 10-stories high, 300 yards long, it goes really fast! We're breaking down everything you need to know about the park before you go.

If you're looking for a fun winter activity, The Plunge at Wintergreen Resort is the spot to go, but getting to The Plunge can be a bit tricky. You have to drive about 15 mins up the mountainside, and past the Wintergreen Resort to get there. The resort, however, is located in Roseland, VA, and pretty easy to get directions.
Tickets for the snow tubing can also be tricky. They can only be purchased online, and ticket sales only start Mondays at noon for the following week.
Weekday prices come in at $29, while weekend prices go as high as $34. There are also a few more requirements to know before you arrive which you can check out in the video.

OMG, that looks like so much fun?? I haven't snow tubed in years. Kenny and I don't really do winter activities because we don't like the cold. But we must try a few things.
We tend to not like being cold either. Of course I say that and our next few videos will be in one of the coldest places imaginable lol

We have had some snow several times this winter. I live about half hour from Wintergreen. I’ve never been skying nor snow tubing. It looked fun. I’ve volunteered at the music festival at Devils Backbone. Hoopla and The Festys. Never was a winter person.
Neither are we but it looked like a lot of fun so we gave it a shot. The original plan was to learn to snowboard but we decided to go snow tubing instead. Well worth it. It's not too cold either. You should give it a shot since you live close by

@@TheDetourDuo Yes. I have taught many people how to snowboard 🏂 Unfortunately, I don't live close to the mountains anymore but there are a few hills within a couple hours drive.

Did the snow have a different texture than real snow?
Eh. Not really. It was still freaking cold lol. I'd say it probably doesn't hold together as well as snow from the heavens. Our snow balls kinda fell apart.

I had a drone following us! Jk. Although I have thought about buying a skydio drone, this is all gopro and Insta360 footage. Insta360 might be my favorite piece of equipment
