And I can really connect! I only feel creative when I’m alone or confident, and she’s like one of the only people who understands that concept or knows how to put it into words I can understand.

I tried to hard not to cry while watching this because Melanie Martinez’s albums pulled me through the hardest school years of my life from middle school through highschool, and when K-12 came out, it was so ironic how songs reminisced to what was currently happening in my life (at least some, not all), and it’s where I made the best friendships of my life and going through school with other hard life shit on your mind and all that comes with it. Like in OJ there's one line, 'Your Body Is Imperfectly Perfect, Everyone Wants What The Other Ones Working'. As if saying everyone's body is imperfect in a perfect way and though they want someone else body, that person most likely had to work hard for it. I tried to hard not to cry while watching this because Melanie Martinez’s albums pulled me through the hardest school years of my life from middle school through highschool, and when K-12 came out, it was so ironic how songs reminisced to what was currently happening in my life (at least some, not all), and it’s where I made the best friendships of my life and going through school with other hard life shit on your mind and all that comes with it. So revisiting this and watching the development really hits me

I love Melanie because in almost every single song she sings, she's talking about how everyone is perfect in their own way and we don't need to change ourselves to be 'pretty'. Like in K-12 the movie is about how six people have powers and need to save everyone in the school. But in all songs Melanie's talking about how everyone's body is perfect how it is. Like in OJ there's one line, 'Your Body Is Imperfectly Perfect, Everyone Wants What The Other Ones Working'. As if saying everyone's body is imperfect in a perfect way and though they want someone else body, that person most likely had to work hard for it. And that's why I love Melanie so much, and she knows everyone has a perfect body even though in a way- no one does.
