@Sam Accout Evens said some information has a question mark over it. It does not necessarily mean it is not historical. Jesus could not have died on different days at different times. The family could not have been in Egypt and the temple. Joseph could not have had two fathers. Evens was evasive on this when Ehrman asked him for examples of non historical events.
If you don’t have time to watch, here is a short version. 2 scholars are debating if fictional characters in a fictional story, recanted in different versions are historical. Nobody became Christian and nobody became atheist. Good night. Anyways, thanks for uploading. Greatly appreciated.
Did you even watch it? Both scholars stated that practically no scholar debates if Jesus existed. He did. Who are these "fictional characters" you mention?
Ehrman says here that Mark presents Jesus as a merely human messiah, but in his debate with Licona he admits that Jesus is divine in the Gospel of Mark,
Origen of Alexandria was once asked if there were contradictions in the Bible. He answered that there were contradictions in the Bible, and God put them there so we would not worship the book.
Thanks you so much for uploading!
Craig Evans clearly loses this debate against Bart Ehrman.
Bart wins hands down. The other scholar has failed to persuade.
@Sam Accout I noticed you randomly mentioned someone's religiocultural identity when trying to point out a rhetorical technique. LAME.

@@jfizzle809 most of the apostles, the guy resurrected by Jesus, the leper, etc.

I think he's said Jesus himself does not claim to be God in Mark, not that the author does not perceive him as God.
Always enjoy Dr. Evans insight into biblical truth. 👍✝️

Nitpicking
Bart is shallow. What he pointed was only time frame for 4 Gospel. Should be identical?😂
