First song by Joe I found. I was like “something about this voice gives me the same vibe as the guy from Hawaii Part ii” didn’t find out it was all connected until later.
LOL that's how i felt listening to "Sad" and being like "yo this guy kinda sound like the Art is dead guy" 💀 bo burnham is one of my favorites to this day
That happened with Tally Hall and Miracle Musical lol I won’t forget it was hilarious I was jump scared by the piano from the beginning of Murders bc Spotify thought it would be funny & I was like Wait this guy sounds like… TALLY HALL OH MY GOD lmao greatest discovery ever Then I got obsessed with Hawaii pt II & haven’t stopped lmao
If I had a nickel for everytime Joe Hawley created a song that spoke to me personally in a way no other piece of media ever had before, I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
Yeah that’s what I’m doing right now. I’ve known of Tally Hall for less than a year by now, and they’ve already become my favorite band and latest long running hyper fixation. Everyday feels like I spin a wheel of how I feel about the band. Will I be hopeful for the band’s future, will I grieve over a band I might never have the chance to hear new songs of, or will I just be happy with the music I have and jam out to Welcome to Tally Hall and Turn the Lights Off, etc. ? Obviously you know which of those days it was for me, but it is never 2 of the same days in a row, so tomorrow let’s just be grateful that we have such easy access to so much content that may have gone lost if it weren’t for fans’ dedication to preserve the work Five college boys with a few too many ties to chose from.
Joe Hawley’s my favourite tally hall member, I am really worried about his sanity recently and they way he’s going. I don’t think he needs therapy, the best thing will be to meet up with the others and stay out of the public light for a bit
This song relates to me so much and that's what I believe will make a good artpiece, whether it's a movie, show, song, painting or anything else. As long as you can connect to both the art, the artist and yourself in something you like, it's good. That's why your favorite song is your favorite song. You might just relate to it in someway you didn't expect, or you just like the way it sounds.

@@number2869 Joe is a strange man, He did the same thing with "Variations in a cloud" a few years ago, or maybe it has to do with the controversy he had this year, as far as I know, nothing is confirmed.
ive always found such a dramatic irony in all of that, especially knowing what we do now about him. i remember reading this interview from back when the band was just starting, that at one point contrasted the band members outlook on their future. they mentioned that it was likely temporary, with rob specifically saying they were open to things not panning out, returning to their regularly scheduled careers. and yet.. "But Hawley is optimistic: “We’re feeling like we’re onto something.” that quote stuck with me bad; hawley is optimistic. so many fans have pointed out (and correctly imo) that he seems to miss the band the most, though it's also been said that his own struggles led to the hiatus in the first place. life is unfair (the sky is blue) but. ouch
