Mezzo-soprano and vocal coach, Dr. Marisan, has several degrees in music, vocal performance, vocal pedagogy, and music business from the New England Conservatory of Music, Hugh Hodgson School of Music, and Berklee College of Music. She has performed in Europe, Asia, North and South America, and the Caribbean in more than 13 languages. Dr. Marisan loves all genres of music and wishes to unite people through song!

Hi I'm Dr. Marisan and in this channel I help you find your voice and master singing in a safe and healthy way. Be it through reaction/analysis of great singers, mini vocal technique videos, or covers.

People from all over covered this song to their finest rendition, and yes, Katrina did a superb version of this one. She has the technique and ability to take on it. Hi Coach! This was a very good analysis reaction to Katrina Velarde. She covers the song with due respect to the composer by keeping the main tune of the song and somehow injects something to make it unnoticeably her own. This was a meaningful song to her as she married Mike Shapiro a session musician & Dean of the LA Academy of Music. Mike also worked with Herp Alpert, Natalie Cole Al Jerreau, Sergio Mendez & many others. He was the drummer of Katrina's cover of Disney's Mulan song" REFLECTION" which you may have not reacted to yet, link: th-cam.com/video/L9GoRTXzdbA/w-d-xo.html. Anyway, Katrina married Mike in May 2021 but sadly, he passed away on Nov. 14, 2021, which is why this song is meaningful to her.
