    In a way, it's sad to see this part of American history erased...I remember passing this place and seeing it almost completely intact, and occupied, while not producing ammunition or propellants anymore, the U.S. Army still occupied some of the buildings...and now, for the most part, it's gone, just like so many other places that played an important role in our history...

    thinking of going to take photos of the structures that are still standing, how much of this is accessible to the public and not considered trespassing? and if it is are you likely to be approached by the owner?

    I still live here, real close. Im over there everyday. NASA has moved in on the far west side. The ho chunk side. The national park area owned by the DNR is still open to the public. Plus we have the museum too. It's free.
