Pace I'm a subto student and equipment operator by trade. We're seeing this in our work. There are companies coming up with software, gps etc that that replaces us operators. I think last year an entire wind farm project was done with one operator running software from somewhere else doing the work of like 5 operators. Crazy times.
When taking title subject to an existing lien, what happens when the original borrower dies?
The batteries don't last long enough in trucks that go cross country. It's inefficient at this point in the game. They only use them for local runs.

Hey Pace it's going to take way more than just 5yrs from now before the trucking industry see any major changes. They talked about autonomous self driving trucks 10yrs ago and still have along way to go. I've been driving for 24yrs and none of the trucking companies are taking big about it bc of who's going to be responsible if one of these trucks causes a accident the company or the insurance company. Also certain states will prohibited these self driving trucks by of specific streets you have to turn down that you don't have much room to make a tight turn like in new jersey. A safety driver will have to be present in the truck and all the videos that they show you only see the autonomous trucks driving down the road in a straight line and not making any turns in a congested areas. Also definitely when there's snow and ice on the roads. There's companies that have been testing them out a company here in Arizona and a company called Aurora in Texas but they know that it will be a while still before they get it right.
