I know this is old but it resonated with me because when I was a kid watching Back to the Future 2, my sister did the math and said we'd be adults when 2015 came and we believed we'd have all that cool stuff. They got some right but all the shitty stuff. No flying cars or hoverboards.
This one is especially near and dear to me TMNT Turtles in time was the last game my dad got me for Xmas of 1992 he passed away a week later on January of 1993 so when ever I beat this bad boy alone or with one of my brothers we always dedicate this one's for you pop.

This stage right here is what the SNES was all about great color palet, awesome sound/ music chip, great graphics, phenomenal game play, and most importantly mode fucking 7. I may sound like an old-timer but they just don't make em like this anymore. The 16 bit era (SNES, Genisess, Turbo Graphic 16) of video games will always be my favorite era. 2020 the not so distant future.
Amen brother! I was personally a Super NES guy myself but also enjoyed a lot of games on the Genesis. The golden age of video games! I still have my Super NES complete from August 91 and recently picked up a model 1 Genesis. Good times and memories for sure!
You can tell they put plenty of love and work into games now days but not like they did back then. I grew up with this game and it was a stunning example of how adversity, struggle, and limitations can propel creativity!

This other one it came with like 80 game or 60 I lost the box I know kill me but the quality of the games is really low like the games are emulated from the pal region like the like for instance sonic 2 music sounds choppy and feel like the game is missing frames I thought I connected it wrong or something but when I put the actual cartridge in the top loader the game played as normal as it could play on an HD TV. Still a cool novelty to have. The only thing I don't like about the gen one Genesis is the back piece that connects to the tv is not as universal as the nes one.
Go back in time to the 90's, make some informed bets, parley the money into forming companies like amazon before their creators in this timeline, and parley that into giving us the turtles version of 2020 while you're there please.

I saw some people riding around those Lime electric scooters and realized that although the future is not what we thought it was going to be, it's still surprisingly similar. Imagine taking some from 1920 and dropping them in 2020. Smartphones. Smart cars. Personal electric scooters. Massive monitors on buildings. Machines dispensing money. Machines cleaning the dusts out of our homes on their own. The future may not look how we imagined it, but to someone from the 1920s, modern day 2020 could easily be what neon night riders looked to us in the 1990s. This is the future.
Somewhat true, and while there have been advancements, if you think about the fact we put someone on the moon in the 60s...it feels like we haven't really progressed that much other than getting everyone hooked on social media.
Vaccuum cleaners, window cleaner and lawn mowers are so far the only robots out on the market, with extremely limited AI (they can't hear or respond to you, not even by beeping like R2 or BB-1). Still no mechanical droid like R2-D2, interpreter/butler-like robots like C-3PO or a maid robot (at least not completely, not that cooks, cleans, helping the kids prepare for school and so forth) like Rosie from The Jetsons.
This seems like a good reason to listen to this song. Then again, any time is reason enough; especially considering Neon Night Riders is the 2020 we wanted.

Love this level. Despite how the Turtles are in deep shit being caught in the time warp sequences, you can still have this moment to have a chill and calming vibe, cruising to the city until you continue your journey.

Ironically, I played this game for the first time in 2020. It was a mix of feelings, I mean, I really liked the game, it helped me a lot at different times during this complicated year. Even though I consider 2020 the worst year of my life, today I am very grateful to him! yes, I had several moments of sadness and frustration, I remember wishing God would kill me every time before I went to sleep, it was really a complicated year, but I am incredibly grateful anyway, I did a lot of good things, I thought about certain attitudes wrong things I was doing and decided to stop. 2020 changed me a lot... and today I can finally say that it was for the better, much better! I'm not where I want to be right now, but I feel like I'm on the way. I'll get there soon...one day ❤
Snes version of this stage is the best. The arcade only side scrolls the entire stage but the the Snes starts out with Mode 7 (pseudo 3D) and side scrolls for the boss battle.
The beginning portion of the SNES rendition of Neon Night Riders sounds more lively compared to the Arcade rendition (granted, the arcade music is of higher quality).

Ironically, I played this game for the first time in 2020. It was a mix of feelings, I mean, I really liked the game, it helped me a lot at different times during this complicated year. Even though I consider 2020 the worst year of my life, today I am very grateful to him! yes, I had several moments of sadness and frustration, I remember wishing God would kill me every time before I went to sleep, it was really a complicated year, but I am incredibly grateful anyway, I did a lot of good things, I thought about certain attitudes wrong things I was doing and decided to stop. 2020 changed me a lot... and today I can finally say that it was for the better, much better! I'm not where I want to be right now, but I feel like I'm on the way. I'll get there soon...one day ❤
Snes version of this stage is the best. The arcade only side scrolls the entire stage but the the Snes starts out with Mode 7 (pseudo 3D) and side scrolls for the boss battle.

The beginning portion of the SNES rendition of Neon Night Riders sounds more lively compared to the Arcade rendition (granted, the arcade music is of higher quality).
