- The Honda City Turbo was a fantastic Japanese car that came out in the '80s. But this little hot hatch had more going for it than just looks and a peppy 1237cc 'hyper-turbo' engine. It could actually birth a folding motorcycle that was like magic origami you could ride.

Honda should bring back this concept, it would be awesome to have a scooter in the Fit or HR-V, or any other honda ride for that matter, I guess I just want a motor scooter in the back of the ride.
So when your shitty Honda breaks, you can have another smaller shitty Honda break on you a second time ???
My Honda Grom fits easily in my VW Caddy. Was thinking about finding a Honda Van with wheelchair access (and colour code them) to really keep the concept alive.

Man you have to love the enthusiasm and hubris of the Japan bubble era cars. Tiny hatchback with its own scooter and "Hyper Turbo" graphics, seems like something straight out of some sci-fi anime series.
That scooter is genius an electric version that charges from the car would be a winner
an adult wouldn't have a problem lifting it out of the car

For me, the Honda City will always be the car from that old game _City Connection_ that made me want a small hatch back, and the Motocompo will always be that little moped from the Anime/Manga _You're Under Arrest_ (which actually also featured a City but the bike stood out most.)
The bike/car package is great for the city.. You find a tiny parking spot which is still hard to do in the city so it may not be close to your destination (work) so to get there in the rush, you whip out the bike. Me personally, i'd use it to go to the store real quick or to meet up friends who dont live really far, but you dont wanna walk for 15mins.
The only place I've ever seen this is on the game gran turismo.
It was one of the cars used in the beginning of the game for basic maneuverability testing.
Had no idea about the little motorcycle tho.

I hired a Avis at that time which also was the era of the Mitsubishi Cordia turbo. It was fun but a legal go kart. I fell asleep almost riting it off.

Klasse Act the city turbo is basically an Si(faster than a Civic Si from the era too)lol the only other step up in the city range was the turbo 2 with box flares and a little tweaking under the hood introduced a little later in the city’s lifespan

This idea is Awesome! Why did they ever stop making this combo? LOL. So cool. Now, it would be cooler if they were both Hydrogen Fuel Cell and got like 200+MPG and both went from 0-60 in like 4-ish seconds! But, I'm waiting...I know it's possible, if we can just get the oil companies to agree to sell us Hydrogen at a reasonable cost (and I DON'T mean $3-4/gallon like I'm paying now for gasoline!!). And they can start getting/sourcing hydrogen from WATER! We don't need no stinkin' frackin' black oil !

Motocompo´s wheels are small...until you realize the car´s wheels aren´t much bigger....
The Motocompo is an absolutely genius idea. I can imagine so many scenarios where it would be super useful. Just the other day I had to take my only car in for a service, and couldn't do anything but sit in a nearby Starbucks for several hours until it was finished. If my car could just poop out a little scooter whenever I wanted, I could go home and hang out or even run some errands or something.
Just put a bicycle in the trunk of your car and it's do the same

Being French I actually new that thing (Came accross it a few times at the Geneva auto show), and when I saw this I was amazed because: 1- someone actually bought this thing 2- that person is accross the atlantic!
I was 12 years old when this car came out. I begged my parents to get one so that I could ride the mini-bike.

2 things, The Turbo City never had the motorcompo as a factory option it was just the City /City-R. its also not a motorcycle its a Scooter. Regards, a guy who has 4 motocompos and a city. Also Honda Japan didn't want to make the City turbo, Hirotoshi designed it so well as a side project that Honda RND decided to release them as Turbo and Turbo II bulldog. Hirotoshi then went onto make mugen after he was inspred with the City turbo and the Turbo II bulldog.

its a variation of a QR50 and another 50cc scooter engine. most just swap the engine or do custom parts.

If you love this idea, you can easily do it to your hatchback today. Cheap tiny EV bikes with signals that are 35kmh 25mph able will easily fit in even a Civic or CRV cargo area.

It's for the autolube system, so you do not run out of oil and seize the engine. (oh was I late)
Walker Wilkinson you may add there are also Mopeds that run on premix, in Eastern Germany we even still have some Gas Stations selling Premix gas (mostly in the more "rural" areas)
