It’s not about the hair, it’s about the scalp! Only once I’ve made a mistake by dying my hair on freshly washed hair. Half (!!) of my hair fell out. It killed hair follicles. Scalp must be protected by natural oils. That’s why you need to wait, I would say 48 hours. Thank me later
