it's a great idea to turn the different ink cards into a simple resource!

Thank you, and it isn't that big of a downside to have 4 to 5 of them

Great format! Can't wait to try this. We need to print some of those inkwell cards!

    Interesting
Love the ideas, i was also struggling with ideas on how they would solve the color issue while drafting
I think your way solves this for sure but with 4 packs the price of draft goes up which i worry about as packs of lorcana are already 6 each ( if not scalped lol )
What would you think of just bending the rules and allowing players to draft 3 colors ?
( really wanna see what they will do offically 🎉🎉 )

I don't think it would solve the theoretical problem we have, also as our playtesting went along, we considered trying three color but everyone just wanted to stay at 2.

You basically said what I wanted to say which was basically Cardfight Vanguard you take 1 card and pass it the next person. But I want to add on to the next player with the pack rotation.
In my head you're in a group of maxed of up to 4 and each group has their packs in that group pile. Guess you can do 3 as in your example. Anyways, when each person gets to be the initiate until it's the last person who gets to chose their pack. Basically first person do the clockwise rotation, then second counter clockwise, third pick clockwise, and last counter clockwise. Probably said all of this but I wanted to emphasis the importance of people getting THEIR turn to pick and choose.
Also to add on to the whole two hybrid color foundation. See I didn't hear you mentioning the importance of if people are forced or will run only mono or dual color decks if they have options to run either both. Like...what if you can't complete the deck if you don't have enough colors--then again items and actions could be a filler, but I digress. My point is how do you know in that group or at least the whole (store) tournament if nobody is going cheat their colors if they're forced up to two colors. Doubt that would happen so let's cross that off.
Anyways let me get to the point before I make this way to convoluted for myself without getting to the point.
How does the group determine their color(s) since they have to be forced to choose what they got is limited until all cards are gone when passed around. I would have to say each player/person show their cards they picked and place them on the able so there's no multicolored shenanigans and you know what color(s) those people sre going to play.
However, another idea in my head, if there's not enough colors for them or they need filler cards since they cannot run more than 2 colors, in the case of they got screwed over with color cards they cannot pick when it was their turn to pick, they can place a card or cards on the table if no one is running that color if everyone has their max of two forced colors.
And when packs are done and everyone has their decks either finished or not the unfinished decks the player(s) have then have an option to pick cards from the leftover pile in the middle and continue the rotation of clockwise and counter clockwise. Otherwise ignore that rule if there's only 1-2 people left. Because the last two people decides who gets the first pickings to fill up their decks 1 by 1 when taking turns.
Phew. Sorry for the wall of text. But yeah. At the drafting I think the group should be forced to show what cards they pick so everyone knows what you and your opponent(s) colors are and what they're building. And they can't take back what color they chose or were forced to choose.

I am sorry, I don't fully understand but I will try to respond what I believe you are saying
With this draft you can draft with between 4 to 8 players, theoretically you could draft with more but at a point a second table may be needed.
You are not restricted to picking two colors, you are restricted to your final deck being two colors taking out the ones that are not the two colors you decide to use for games.
For example by the end of pack one I could have chosen 5 amethyst cards, 3 amber cards, 2 emerald cards, a sapphire card, and a steel card. However, once I have the pile of 48 cards I have selected I need to choose which two colors my deck is going to be, I can put as many cards of those colors as I want into the deck but it must be at least 40 cards and I have a theoretically infinite supply of "inkwell" cards in my colors at my disposal.
If this doesn't help I suggest looking at my most recent stream to get a visual of what I mean in this video.
Thank you so much for your passion and desire to help.
      Nive.

@@Nivesnerdcorner Alright. But only up to the card picking point. Still curious what you do with all the extra cards you can't put in deck though. Although I'll watch it to a certain point and see. Also you're welcome.~

Now that we have official rules, are you still playing with these parameters or now playing with the official rules?

    • @Nivesnerdcorner
      @Nivesnerdcorner  ปีที่แล้ว

I am playing with the official rules as those are universal. I lowkwy prefer the rules we came up with but the official ones aren't terrible
