- I bought this cordless chainsaw because I needed something that doesn't need petrol and can work far away from electricity (forest). I really like it, it's good for the price you pay. It can easily cut any kind of lumber.

Saw arrived yesterday th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and today I cut about 3/4 cord of wood with it. Make sure you get an extension chord that is at least 12 gauge wire, minimum. This is my first electric in about 10 years, and things sure have improved. The self-sharpener works great, and it just kept cutting through some pretty decent logs. Wear your eye protection, and ear protection. Excellent saw.
That bio chain oil is pretty fun to use. It made my chainsaw smell like french fries for the first few tanks of oil I used up.

I have one like that bought last December. But mine is a bit different, the spade is from Oregon and also the chain. Maybe these are the same but your says parkside. Other than that is a superb machine and works very well.
i would also like to know if there is difference between Oregon and Parkside spades ? Isn't it the same, only they changed the title ?

Oregon makes them for Parkside. Some have the Oregon logo, others the Parkside logo. But all made on the same place
I got this saw but with two 2amp batteries, triee today and im satisfied for home use.... I cut 15-20 pieces 1.5-2m long, to 30cm pieces and battery was empty.... for me more than enough.... But i recomend 2x4amp batteries or stronger....
Yes i recommend 4ah batteries too. It can easily work for half a day of normal use.

I just bought one and after a while i cut it starts bipping and stops. I cut 3 or 4 35 cm logs in half and batteries empty?

I can't say for sure, because I haven't tested it until the batteries drained. But I did use it on and off for half a day and the lights showed 2/3 still full.
OREGON chain and sword was the best feature of Parkside chainsaw line!
Without Oregon kit value offer is just average. For example the Chinese petrol chainsaw the same one as Parkside petrol chainsaw is available in ads for 50% less money...

30 min each with the 12 amp charger!! For the 8ah batteries 45 min each. But is more powerful with the 2x8ah batteries than 2x4ah.

Can you use the new parkside 8ah smart batteries on this?, two of them on it would give you an impressive 16AH
Someone said to me that it is possible and the motor is more powerful. But I can't tell you from my experience.

Je viens de l’acheter chez lidl en Belgique en solde à 44,95€ au lieu de 79,95. Je l'ai testée, elle est super pour les petits travaux d’élagage ou coupe de petits arbres et en plus, malgré des batteries 4 ah, elle est légère à manier.

Took the words outta my mouth...how many charges to do all them cuts... I need a new chainsaw, I've parkside tools and batteries but im none the wiser after watching this
@@jigsey. Same. I have the impact driver, grinder and mini-circular-saw.
The impact driver and grinder are great. Mini-saw is crap for anything thinker than 10mm, starts cutting off.
Would consider the chainsaw but if it starts cutting out after cutting 3 logs then that's no good.

I used it for half a day and the battery was still not empty. It's good for the money. I can't say I disslike anything. Much more powerful than Einhell. I will compare it to a better brand soon.

No gas. Only electric with batteries!! They are made in Germany by Parkside and sold by Lidl in countries where Lidl is present!! This model is basically a cheaper copy of the similar 36v makita chainsaw!!
Useless toy
Very useful for smaller wood jobs including construction indoor or outdoor!!
