mec-gar is a quality magazine manufacturer. they used to make factory original magazines for Sig and Beretta until they went in house to maximize profits.
I have the 10mm NS and Mine was involved in the recall. Sent it in and got it back two weeks later with a fantastic trigger and an extra magazine. Impressed with how they handled it.
You're the man. Literally no vids on this piece. You nailed it as well. Some vids are just instant classics. I think this one is going to be pretty popular in the 1911 community.
Traditionally the nipple at the bottom of your bushing wrench is to take apart the magazine for maintenance. Tisas included the .45 mag to encourage you to buy a man's gun
Great video, thanks. I'm going for one of these but can't decide between 9mm and 10mm. For the grips, which options did you select for bottom cut - standard, mag well or slip on mag well? Thank you sir 👍
Been looking at one of these to also play around with. I think you might have just talking me into one bro lol keep up the good work brother keep ya posted
Something is wrong with your audio, its very low. Some V/8 ports thru the factory windows would be kinda cool. Dont knock the Mecgar 1911 mags, there actually pretty decent along with the Tisas itself. Btw, that (barrel nut) is commonly referred too as a barrel bushing in the 1911 world but call it as you wish. Ill be following your journey with it. Appreciate the vid.
lol other videos people were complaining it was too loud. Still figuring that all out. Mecgar is alright. More to come on that and I made the video pretty quick after work so my verbiage was all of with the barrel bushing. Appreciate the follow. Def have some things planned for it
Im am so stoked just picked up the 10mm version on PSAs website for 480.00 insane! Had to grab one
@@jasonpearson-tu6yz you can’t beat that
When I purchased my 45 Duty I got a 9 mm magazine along with a 45 magazine

The other magazine you have is a checkmate mag. (The actual 9mm one lol)
How's it running after you shot it and how many rounds through so far?
She’s running great now that it’s been fixed. 1500rds in and haven’t cleaned it yet just add oil
What is the bottom cut on those grips? I am looking on the lok website.
I believe I chose fixed magwell
You may like the Girsan Negotiator better in a comparison. Yeah the shipped grips are horrible on this one.
I’ll have to check that out!
Isn’t that one only made in .45? I know they have one in 9mm but it’s a hi power style . Haven’t seen it in 9
@@jvz1448plenty in 9mm over on gunbroker

Please us updated. I'm interested in a railed tisas 1911.
Bought the duty full size ss with rail. Best purchase in a long time. Beautiful gun no issues.
You gonna do a video while shooting it? Curious how it runs with the slide cuts and what type of accuracy you get.
Did you have to use short or long grip screws? Stock ones??
The screws came with the grips
Can you provide a link for the grips that you swapped for??
