Happy 40th Independence, to the citizens of Saint Lucia. I'm a Trini living in the U.S. I had gotten stuck in your country when I had missed my connecting flight to Trinidad. Everyone, and I mean everyone, starting with the customs agent and the immigration agent, who tried to help me make that flight but fortunately, I didn't. I was able to experience the warm hospitality of the heart of your island nation. Loved the scenic views as I commuted via gypsy cab and bus from one airport to the next. Got stuck even longer when that flight cancelled. I guess God wanted to show me where he goes on vacation. May your country always be blessed. Thank you for your hospitality when I had gotten stranded.
