      Thank you. I am continually evolving how I produce my videos. Over the last year or so, I have become more comfortable in using my voice more. I will try and keep a balance, between natural sounds and people's reactions and information. I hope it encourages more people to focus on the whole jungle experience, not just the King, tigers. They of course have their significant part to play, but not to the exclusion of all else.

      Thank you. As this is my 7th trip to India, I thought I would try to understand why India is making such strides in looking after its wildlife. I personally do not believe the world has woken up to what India is achieving. I hope in a small way, I will help make people aware of what is being achieved from the top of central government to the ordinary villagers and foresters who live and work in and around the parks.

      @@JamesRattray Rightly, India is booming in terms of Wilderness ❤️
      In my last trip to Tadoba, we saw 8 individual tigers in 4 Safaris.
      How was your experience in Tadoba?

      @@chinigraphy We did very well at Tadoba too. Seeing tigers in the water, our first time. We also saw a tiger successfully ambush a cheetal deer and another tiger who had been a bad fight. Lots to share with you once I get time to edit the clips.

    Your videography and storytelling skills are extremely good.👌 Eagerly waiting for the parts in Kaziranga & Corbett. Kaziranga is the best reserve in India (in my opinion) and I have been obsessed with Jim Corbett since my childhood. I once retraced the steps of Jim Corbett through the state of Uttarakhand, in forests that still have Tigers but not in as great number as there used to be. It was amazing to relive the stories through a spectator's eyes.
    Also, maybe the guide was new, so he didn't know, but the Langur was calling to his group. It wasn't an alarm call. langur alarm calls are excitable, as if they are abusing the Tiger/Leopard in Langur language. Satpura has walking safaris, which I have been on, and I was lucky enough to spot 2 Tigers. Got the customary warning growl from the first Tiger, as is the welcoming custom amongst Tigers, and all we had to do was stop in our tracks until the Tiger went on his merry way. The second Tiger didn't even bother acknowledging us, much like the Tigers in my hometown (I live near a Tiger Reserve called Similipal, in the state of Odisha).
    If you're still in India, I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to make a slight change in plans and visit a place called "Chuka Beach" in Pilibhit, which is part of the Dudhwa National Park. You must have read stories of Corbett hunting the Chuka Man-eater in the region known as Terai. This is the same place. It is a rustic resort inside the Tiger Reserve that adjoins a lake, which means the possibility of watching wildlife from your balcony itself.
    This video will explain this better than I can. This guy talks more in English than Hindi, so you won't have much trouble understanding. th-cam.com/video/RAKpQhytyBA/w-d-xo.html

      I am a great Jim Corbett fan. This time my wife and I visited Nainital, the next day the whole group explore Kalaungi, see Ramsay's canal, the farmyard and of course Corbett's house which is an excellent tribute to his life.
      Sadly we arrived back in the UK late on Monday night, UK time. My task is to put out many videos of our trip, including a tiger ambushing and capturing a Cheetal for dinner. It was a wonderful trip. Thank you for your comments, you certainly have great experience, we heard with envy about the Satpura walks and we almost went to Dudwa, but were advised against it in view of something to do with the steep rise in prices. Hopefully another time.

    Hi James loving the videos (new subscriber) can you let me know when and how many days you spent at each park?

    • @JamesRattray
      @JamesRattray  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for letting me know. We spent 3 nights in each park, except at Kaziranga where we spent 5. I would love any comments on any aspects of the videos, as it helps me evolve my style of presentation. What I try and do is share what we experience, increasingly I have added a narrative. The later ones of Corbett, I have tried to add more about Jim Corbett for those who don't know who he was, also about elephants and a 19th capture of wild elephants, I found fascinating. I had thought I might get some good interaction with those who watched the video. But everyone has been silent. May be too contentious a subject.
      We love India in all its aspects, especially what the country is doing to show the rest of the world how to look after its wildlife. Here in the UK we have much to learn from India on this.
