I'll still give you spoiler but it's been long time since I read that part (the WN's last update is like more that a year ago or so), so I might get some parts wrong. The spoiler also pretty long because lots of details actually lead to this part. WN At some point Illya, the MC found a letter left by her mother. The contents of the letter was about how her mother actually really feel sorry for gave birth to her. That letter also shown that her mother knew that her father has a lover who was her sister's mother. There also the fact that her mother has been poisoning her sister all along. MC's father has lover, and that lover is a princess from another country. Due to political turmoil within the princess's country, the father and the princess cannot legally get married. The princess also cannot get out of her country either. The princess sent him her personal maid (who also a nobleborn herself) to legally married with her father and act as messenger between them. This personal maid is the MC's mother. The princess did this so that if she has kid with MC's father, the kid can have secure place and political position. The father can only be head of family if he legally married to another noble. This marriage also make the father able to create fake reason for whenever he (and the mother) wants to go to meet the princess in her country. I actually don't really remember about the reason regarding the MC's birth. I think her parents decided to have her simply to avoid suspicion. From there we can see that the mother feels sorry for MC, because she gave birth to the MC's from a one sided love relationship. The mother keep poisoning the sister out of jealousy... In one of the loop when the MC confront the mother for the poisoning of the sister. And in respond the mother literally cut her own throat in front of the MC. The MC really shocked and angry as she also knows how painful it is to married someone who only love another woman. She can feels how much pain her mother has to endure for more than 2 decades... Except... that's not actually the case... In the very next loop, the MC confront the mother and also trying her best to prevent the mother from ending her own life. She did succeeded, though her arm also injured and bleeding in process. And what she got? Her father slap her. Both of her mother and her father scream their anger at her and eachother for what she trying to meddling. Then she realised something... Both the mother and the father never love eachother, but both of them are OBSESSED with the princess. And now as the princess already dead, they both replacing their obsession onto the sister instead. The poison never means to harm the sister. The sister bears strong resemblance to the princess, which means she will be in danger if she got out often. The poison and the dose will only make the sister's feels weaker without actually damaging her body. Another reason why the mother poisoning the sister is simply because she just too obsessed with the princess and thus the sister. Small correction but the Knight didnt love the MC, it was explained that he actually does have an engagment. But as a Knight and sympathising with her and all the shit that happened, it was his loyalty to his Master that made him want to save her. I really advise reading the LN, if you thought the manga was painful, the LN was having me bawling and praying for the MC to finally die so she can be at peace..Not even a revenge plot or happiness got me going. I’ve been reading this. SPOILERS Do a good bit into the manga the dude has that chapter where he thinks about not treating his fiance like shit. What’s interesting is that it’s not a side-thought, he’s actively thinking that he wants to treat her well and not so aloof but despite his internal monologue, his actions contradicts his thoughts despite him trying to fight it. As if there’s so magic shit going on, and there’s very clearly some magic shit going on in the world. Makes the story and the male MC a bit more interesting.
Makes sense. Often, this type of Groundhog Day structure is meant to teach something to the person stuck in the loop. But given what happens to the lead, whatever magic is involved here seems far more sinister.

Finally! This manga! Broo I kid you not. I had read the manga more times than I can count and moved to the novel. And I never regretted finding the novel. The novel was excruciatingly painful. Although, the manga really depicts the novel well but.. Having to read the novel.. i probably dehydrated myself from crying so so badly. Yet, it was so satisfying when you finally know what the end looks like and you could rest peacefully knowing that she was going to be happy in the end.
Honestly, just from the synopsis, the whole part where you mentioned Iliya killing Sylviya sounds like a plausible ending, lol. I mean, it sounds like the mental block for her killing her sister is that she's the only person who gives half a shit about her. Having her sister's death being the start of the loop and both the end of the loop would kinda just work.
omgg im so glad someone is finally talking abt this manga!! as someone in the trenches of the isekai/villainess genre stumbling upon this was like a breath of viscous air drowning me with each word (/pos) the endless hurt no comfort hit an itch like picking a scab, and gosh its so worth it too because the psychological torture elements were INSANE!! like, you can really feel yourself spiraling as she starts to loose faith in herself, and you begin to question your own sanity as illya does her own!!! the webnovel it's based on is fully fan translated btw, but sadly the author went on hiatus a few years ago and never came back :< BUT!! the manga has almost caught up with the novel's content, AND the special chapter 23.5 is (to my knowledge) og manga-created content!! so hopefully the publishers or mangaka will continue the story for us eager fans ^^

Even he can't understand why he's treating Ilya the way he does.
I think it was theorized/stated it’s because of the god of that world that makes her fall in love with him. 1 chapter where we see his POV, we can see he is not in control of his actions. Finally! This manga! Broo I kid you not. I had read the manga more times than I can count and moved to the novel. And I never regretted finding the novel. The novel was excruciatingly painful. Although, the manga really depicts the novel well but..
Having to read the novel.. i probably dehydrated myself from crying so so badly. Yet, it was so satisfying when you finally know what the end looks like and you could rest peacefully knowing that she was going to be happy in the end.

Honestly, just from the synopsis, the whole part where you mentioned Iliya killing Sylviya sounds like a plausible ending, lol.
I mean, it sounds like the mental block for her killing her sister is that she's the only person who gives half a shit about her. Having her sister's death being the start of the loop and both the end of the loop would kinda just work.
omgg im so glad someone is finally talking abt this manga!! as someone in the trenches of the isekai/villainess genre stumbling upon this was like a breath of viscous air drowning me with each word (/pos) the endless hurt no comfort hit an itch like picking a scab, and gosh its so worth it too because the psychological torture elements were INSANE!! like, you can really feel yourself spiraling as she starts to loose faith in herself, and you begin to question your own sanity as illya does her own!!!
the webnovel it's based on is fully fan translated btw, but sadly the author went on hiatus a few years ago and never came back :< BUT!! the manga has almost caught up with the novel's content, AND the special chapter 23.5 is (to my knowledge) og manga-created content!! so hopefully the publishers or mangaka will continue the story for us eager fans ^^
The webnovel also updates so slow that I even forgot where I left it. This is really gutwrenching but when I was reading it, I can't stop.

There's still no explanation for the chapters covering Soliel's pov of the first life. It clearly shows that he is being manipulated since his actions don't match his thoughts. Even he can't understand why he's treating Ilya the way he does.
