Triangle Stack Counters for Posture & Pressure

  • Do you get stacked when you go for triangles from guard? It is the most common defense, along with posturing out. In this video, I offer a couple of solid options for countering an opponent who attempts to stack you to escape your triangle choke, and also an option for countering someone posturing out of your triangle. I hope these are as helpful to you as they have been to me over the years.

    Whoa... the "waiter sweep" I learned was completely different but that hand placement you do makes the move name make so much sense!

    I like to stack to the wrong side. Cause it opens up taking their back. Instead of the usual side to stack and take side control. Sounds weird. But thank about it. On the wrong side my arm is pushing the leg down there the hip is down and access to the back.
