Minkia, a guardarlo ci si emoziona ancora a distanza di 4 anni... e ci emozionerà ancora, ne sono convinto, tra altri 4. Che cuore e che grinta ragazzi... le nuove generazioni devono imparare da quella squadra altrimenti non si va da nessuna parte come agli Europei della scorsa estate!
Ripeto, per me questa Lituania era la più forte di sempre (e aggiungo la più in forma) anche senza il Principe. La nostra partita è stata memorabile, non c'è paragone con gli Europei vinti nel '83 e '99. Quasi mi viene da piangere che non siamo a Pechino

ty for the respect...beacuse after all not a long time ago Italy was one of the most important countries for producing young talents and in general for basketball ( in Europe )...well now...the main problem is that teams don't give enough time to play to young talents ( teams with 5 americans like Siena just to make an example )...also there seems to be a problem in educating players to play in their natural positions ( we are full of atipical centers...skinny and 3 point shooters )

basically beside Bargnani we don't have a real 5 ( and Bargnani is far from being a natuarl 5 ) we have nothing...if they are tall they stay skinny ( for some reason ) or if they are undersized they are not skilled...also we don't have valuable playmakers...and more in general we have a good core of players but behind them we only have minor league level players...it is very sad...
yeah, Basile, Galanda and Pozzecco are good players, but not as good as Jasikevicius, Macijauskas, Siskauskas, Stombergas, Songaila. I saw all the competition and i saw realy low quality games of Italy in group games and Lithuania demonstrated fantastic basketball in all games- this game was the worst for us, so don't you dear to say that you were worth to win. You just got a fantastic fortune, you scored 3pts from the bad positions

This loss I blame on Lithuanian coach who did not understood Italy's tactics and did not changed attitudes of our stars that we had that year.
