Bollocks, couldn't make it to Wavetable last week! Nice set though, will definitely try and get along to the next one. This makes total sense if you think about it, because the first drum machines were basically analogue synths just using oscillators and noise, plus a bit of ring mod for cymbal sounds. Still sounds great though! Some proper gnarly stuff here which sounds like it needed some acid 303. I don't make a lot of beats these days, but one thing I like to do is patch simple sounds from scratch (like just noise through a VCA), stick it through loads of effects plugins and resample the weird bits for some more unusual one shots. In the hardware world, DataBender would be great for that!
Really blows my mind what you accomplish with even a limited modular setup, although I felt that you missed an opportunity to use Pam's euclidean gates capabilities for the hi-hats. Keep it in mind if/when you do something like this again ;)
