    It is a very efficient way to heat up tanks. I use a purpose built air to water heat pump that I also use to heat domestic water. I use swimming pool tube in tube heat exchangers with solenoids

    Yeah, frost line here in Connecticut is just a tad bit deeper.

      Haha, yeah, 4 feet is a bit worse. Really hard to justify this as a heating solution if it requires a $20,000 hole to be dug in the back yard.

      @@MischiefandFins, not only that, the ground is very rocky here...can't dig two inches without hitting a rock.
