- प्रयागराज के महाकुंभ में बीती रात एक दर्दनाक हादसा हुआ. रात करीब 2 बजे संगम नोज पर भगदड़ मच गई, इस हादसे में 30 श्रद्धालुओं की मौत हो गई, जबकि 60 लोग घायल हो गए. इस बात की जानकारी मेला प्रशासन की ओर से दी गई है. महाकुंभ DIG वैभव कृष्ण ने बताया कि ये हादसा कैसे हुआ. उन्होंने कहा कि श्रद्धालु ब्रह्म मुहूर्त का इंतजार कर रहे थे, तभी कुछ श्रद्धालु अचानक दर्शन करने के लिए आ गए. पीछे से आई भीड़ के कारण भगदड़ मच गई. उन्होंने कहा कि 29 तारीख का कोई VVIP मूवमेंट नहीं था. आगामी बड़े पर्व या स्नान पर कोई VVIP मूवमेंट नहीं होगा.
आपको बता दें कि अभी बहुत सारे लोग सोशल मीडिया पर दावा कर रहे हैं कि प्रशासन ने VVIP लोगों के लिए कई मार्ग को आरक्षित किया हुआ था, जिसके कारण ये भगदड़ हुई। लेकिन हमें जो जानकारियां मिली हैं, उनके मुताबिक ये दावा भ्रामक है और पूरी तरह से सही नहीं है.
पुलिस का कहना है कि इस भगदड़ में कुछ Barricades टूट गए थे, जिसकी वजह से भीड़ का एक जत्था जमीन पर सो रहे कुछ श्रद्धालुओं पर चढ़ गया। लेकिन चश्मदीदों का कहना है कि संगम घाट पर आने और जाने के लिए एक ही मार्ग था, जिससे लोगों में धक्का-मुक्की हुई और इसके बाद वहां भगदड़ मच गई।

I had to turn back from 15 Km away during the Mauni Amavasya snan night on the 28th night / 29th early morning. I was travelling with family from Delhi. A very reliable local source who is in the know how of things told me that the actual count of the deceased is 300+ . Let that sink in. More than 300 people died due to the callousness of the government.
I personally talked to people who had walked 8-9 Km , and then came to know they had to walk 15 more KM , and they gave up and turned back.
The planning of this event has been below-par . Shame on UP Govt.
This is not hinduism. No sahishnuta, no visha bandhutvata and no compassion.

This Analysis by Sudhirji is incorrect. Govt. of UP was knowing that there will be huge crowd. NDRF,SDRF, and Army should have managed this and not state police. I was at the Sangam Ghat at 1 am on early hours of 29th. Mouni Amavasya. There was no prep work by police, govt and NDRF. No proper planning was done. The number of casulties is much more than 30. There were internet jammers and no proper mobile network connectivity. Stampede happeded on Sangham Ghat, on Jhunsi bridge, and near Khalsa akhakhada. Children, women and many people died. Sadhus' vehicles were coming through crowd and it created stampede situation. Police was deployed from outside city and they were unable to guide the people. It was complete chaos from UP govt. Supreme court should take cognizance of the prep work done by chief secretary by summons and start CBI inquiry. Suspend chief secretary and DGP immediately. Deploy Army and latest technologies to address the issues so that next time it should not happen.
Also Local crowd is looting outsiders pilgrims with very high prices and there is no sympathy towards Mahakumbha visitors. For everyone business is much more than religion. This is the fact of Prayagraj local people. They are charging easily 10 to 100 times, toto auto, hotels, boat people are looting as if this is the time for them to squeeze money from people. Who will compensate for hotel booking losses due to no entry by police.
