  • My Pebble has seen better days, so I'm going to replace it with a custom smart watch! An ESP32, a display, and a battery are going into this sucker, plus a custom watch case printed on a Form 2!
In the next episode in this series, I'll get the custom PCB back from the board shop, populate it, program it, and assemble the whole thing!

Why are you only at 2.5k?!?! You are at the same level as the other people such as Styropyro and the Hacksmith! That project it AMAZING!

Probably better than the hacksmith honestly. Pretty much all of the hacksmith's recent projects have been incredibly lame, including the "lightsaber" which was just a reskinned plasma torch. Two of their projects were actually the exact same thing, but with a different aesthetic. This is way cooler in my opinion.

If you don't know what it is please check out the digimon vital bracelets, how difficult would it be to make improvements on one of those ( better battery, waterproof like the fitbits ect)

You can get some UV curable solder mask and a UV naillight to get a matt black solder mask on your milled circuit boards. You just have to paint it on there.

AMAZING project. Are you plan to make
it open source in future? Big community would make this project better, adding features or optimising system.

Amazing video, I am attempting to make one myself, so far all the screens I tried are too thick, what keyword should i use to search for the one you used, I don't seem to find it? thanks so much :)

You know those flexible screens that are starting to become actually good? What if you had a screen that folded up tiny on your wrist but could be bigger to watch stuff on like a normal phone?

  • @jameskoitsky3526

And you can take that metal protective case off, and even solder each component under neath it directly to the pcb to make it even more smaller

For UI, I think, in menu either show only one icon or max 4 icon in grid; with scroll.

hey man just wanted to say I love your videos , I see the same mind set in my self as I do you , you love to make things on your own just as I , because why purchase really expensive items when you could just make them yourself, for example I made my own google home from a raspberry pi board and a microphone and a button and 3d printed a case for it and alot of other things to but why go into detail, you are what I strive to do in life , i'm only in high school but I hope to do a lot more and aspire to do something like you and once again love your videos keep them coming plz.

How exactly is the lcd interfaced with esp?
The connections, the code, etc without the drivers (because the TFT LCD modules always comes with a driver ic, do does the esp does the job of the drivers also🤔)
This will really helps in my future projects.
