I love the idea of Marina writing and composing this when she was like 17 on her computer all alone, having no idea it was gonna end up being mastered and released in an album, and even less that it was gonna blow up over a decade later on a platform that didn't even exist back then (tik tok), its just crazy.
Instrumentally and with the choir background is a lot nicer but her voice isn't that smooth like it is on the final version. But I agree, her voice a lot dirtier and I like the double standard love part a lot more ;D PS: I love u Marina +Devil

Scab and Plaster is a different story altogether, it was supposed to be on an album called die Life that got scrapped for electra heart. Pancake Karma and Starlight are still never released, while Hermit the Frog was released on Mermaid vs Sailor, the ep that got her labels attention. It’s plausible that they heard a song like this and it helped convince them to sign her, while they never heard Starlight or others. In other words, this demo is released, the others aren’t, and the label gets the final say

The reason why it's not as high quality as the other demo songs is cause she made this on garage band like 11 years ago
