This 10 tunes shows us what Trance is, was, and ever will be. This era of the global phenomenon known as Trance music will never ever reach the heights that it did during this era. All you wanted to do was dance, dance, and dance some more
Who'd have thought these tunes were 10+ years old now? ... still sound great, reminds me of being young and off my face... shame we all have to get old .
Nieuw van Pierre Marais, Best All Time, Trance Classics, Wooow klinkt écht goed én bekend, Zo óók Rank 1 Airwave. Succes ermee! Categorie Music, Licentie Standaard, TH-cam--licentie!
As i remember, all the tunes are before 2000, so this is an excellent list! Maybe Balearic Bill- Destination Sunshine should be in, and time limited, also Push- Strange World.
from one who spent many a quality night at cream in Liverpool 7000 people 5 rooms and the world top djs, for once the title did not disappoint, well done digisci, bangin tunes.
chill man, he already said it's really only his favorite trance tunes :P and 'real' trance didn't die cos of this stuff, things just move on.. always how it is. Got to agree though, the older stuff owns this lot.. Dreams was fucking huge and way ahead of it's time sound wise.
I was like 6 when these songs came out still sounds orgasmic to my ears and still gives me goosebumps im 19 now amazing playlist dude takes me back to old days wit my dad in the 90's raves!!! ;)
Remember, people don't know what's on the list until they view the video ;-) Still, good list....... not what I'd say are the top 10, none of them apeared in my top 20, but it's a good list still.
The right version of For an Angel is the 1994 one. It's simple, but really good. As for Armin; I just happen to dislike Communication. Blue Fear, however, is impeccable.
I prefer Binary Finary - 2000 version instead! Kudos for including Rank 1 - Airwaves and William Orbit's Adagio for Strings (Two of my absolute favorites!)
well Adagio for Strings is a work by Samuel Barber, arranged for string orchestra from the second movement of his String Quartet, Op. 11. Barber finished the arrangement in 1936 so Dj take it to make their mixes with the adagio as main thats why it sounds so similar, anyway i'd say tiesto mix is the best one i've heard
nice! totally satisfied with Biniry Finary 1999 and Rank1 - Airwave.included here. I suggest also Trance Allstars - Lost In Love, United_Deejays_For_Central_America_-_Too_Much_Rain and Quicksilver - Ameno (C.J. Stone Remix), always on my trance playlist.could be at least in top 50 trance
Does anybody remember the video/song where they had this creepy kid driving a go-cart?? the video is in black and white and seems to be during the fall. I know it is not much information, but its all I can remember, that and that I enjoyed that song so fu***ng much when I was a kid!!! I need to remember!
There was a distinct difference between the underground clubs and the meat market clubs. The music, the atmosphere and the "rules" i.e. dress code and drug usage. Pre '95 give someone in the meat market at 'trance' mix they would run a mile, ecause of the diversity of sound. When the corporation labelled watered down trance as trance, it was more accepetable (house like) and became more prominant in the charts and subsequently "meat market" clubs.
This so called "trance" music of today, is exactly the "watered" down sound that brought all the drunken hooligans out from the "meat markets" and into the underground clubs. That's when it all changed and what made the difference between the 2 dissappeared. Instead of unity , peace and freedom there was now violence and attitude. The sound of trance classics pre '95 is quite diverse, post 2000, there was almost a "set" sound/theme for trance tunes.
Think u know about trance, how many of these true classics do you have on 12": Dreams - Quench The Grid - Crystal Clear Underworld - Rez Marine Boy - Fluid (108 M&M) Age of Love - J&S mix Union Jack - 2 full moons & trout Perry & Rhodan - Beat goes on & on Humate - Love stimulation Visions of Shiva - how much can you take More Kante - Yeke Yeke (hardfloor) These (& alot more) pioneered the way for the shite you listen to, these (& more) are what started it and are the TRUE trance classics.
The whole entire point you and so many others miss, is that the rave (and subsequently) clubbing "scene" evolved because we didn't want the restrictions of the meat market clubs, chart music, attitude, violence and rules and regulations that came with it. The clubbing scene that evolved after the Government shut down the raves gave us freedom of CHOICE. Something completely different to the "meat markets" clubs and what was associated with that 'stereotype'.
Airwave amazing trance well done 💯💯💯💯💯💯
Long live classic trance....
It pisses me off that this trance era was replaced by modern commercial trance
