*I had one of these before and it lasted many years and I used it a lot. It blends **MyBest.Kitchen** chops ,grates. Does most anything you would want to use it for. A lot of bang for your buck. A litlle loud however it so fast it is not bothersome.*
For you guys who are abroad and want to buy Vitamix products, please read this before you buy ! I’ve got some issues for claiming the warranty in my country for the vitamix product i bought from e-commerce (not the distributor). I really into this Ascent series. But it made me sad that i can't claim the warranty at two distributor company in Indonesia where i’m livin, just because i didn’t buy it from them. I bought my A2500i ascent series from online e-commerce located in UK and it was all perfect Vitamix High Speed Blender until it cannot function normally after one year of purchase (i'm not often using it). The motor-based can’t detect it’s SELF-DETECT jug (it showing three slash on the indicator panel). The motor now useless without jug. I don’t have any relatives in the UK, so if i claimed the warranty, they can’t ship it back to my country. So, i’m just sharing this to remind you all to think twice before purchasing from online e-commerce. Because i don’t want this unpleasure thing happen to you guys.

I just bought the A2300 because I don't care about all the dial stuff. I don't walk away from the blender when I'm blending. My old one which I had for over 10 years finally gave out. The only thing that bothers me is I can't use my old containers in the newer model so that's a complete waste of materials.
Purchased a red 5200 back in 2009, and it still works perfectly! I prefer the manual operation with the flip switches and speed dial for total control of the blend instead of pre-sets. Great video thank you for posting.
I just came to that conclusion but good to see someone else with the same view. We got the one you did as we thought we didn't have to have all bells and whistles, but have enough to keep up with what is unique about the A- series. Thanks for sharing!

I will have it after six weeks later. Can you please tell me I if I can grind beans with this blender? I used so many different brands blenders. I have smoothy for breakfast and lost 10kg in 6weeks. I decided to buy a good one to make the best meals.

@@LencoTB I haven't used the app to date but the blender works fine for me without the presets. Most of my uses are limited to using the blender for about 1 min to 1.5 mins so I would just stand by the machine and switch it off when needed. If one day I have a need to alter the speed or monitor the time, I think I will just use the timer on my mobile phone to remind me. BTW the noise made by the machine is so loud that you won't forget that you have it on even if you happen to walk away to busy yourself with something else! The blender is nice and I am happy with my purchase

Let me tell you one thing: if you lose awareness while making just a smothie, you should not be in a kitchen at all. All of the a series blenders are essentially the same only differences are in the features they provide. I didn't need the hype of the fancy bells and whistles and got my a2300 for under $400 on sale from Amazon brand new. It has the same blending quality as all the blenders in the series. The financial advisor in me found it unnecessary to spend an extra $100 plus dollars for basically timer features lol.
My question is 64oz vs 48oz container. Is it worth getting the 48oz container. What do you use it for? I just ordered the vitamix a3500. There are only 2 of us. Should I spend the extra money to get the 48oz container?
Two points to consider are clean-up and portion size. The 64oz was harder to clean and store and is actually heavier than the 48oz. The health drinks we make gets blender faster and thoroughly in the 48oz container. Start with the 64oz and take it from there. Costco has specials on 48oz containers twice a year, so that's is always an option for later down the road.

From a Canadian to another, I think this may be the only brand of Blender that I'll buy from this point on. Not that I have a problem with the likes of Breville, Kitchen Aid or even the Nutribullet, which I find garbage due to the limited power by the small motor.
I have just downgraded from the Vitamix 3500i (top of the range in ascent series) because it died after many years of use to the 2300i. I found the set programs not enough for some of my smoothie recipes, often needing extra 10 seconds for super smooth because I use a lot of frozen fruit. I don’t walk away from the machine if making something under a minute so the pre programs are not needed for me. I also like having more control of starting the machine at level 1 speed and slowly working to max instead of machine jumping to 5+ speed and onwards almost straight away.
So the programs are the only real difference? It performs the same as the 3500i? I am ooking at either a 2300i or 2500i, and lean towards the 2300i - and if the programs are truly the only difference it is decided.
Do the presets on 2500 change the variation speed for soup for instance? I am thinking to get 2300 and use the timer and maybe the app in the beginning to make the soup. Like you said 2300 can do the same thing as 2500. So maybe save those money and use the app or hold an eye on the timer.
So the A2300 has a timer, with the same three preset button settings, but no auto shutoff, whereas the 2500 has the auto shutoff? Oh man, making a smoothie and walking away resulted in warm soup? My inexpensive Best Buy blender has an auto shut off, I don't think I blend without it.

Thanks for the video. Could you please explain the wet and dry containers? I didn’t know about these when I bought my A2300. I have tried to make nut butters in the Vitamix unsuccessfully. I think it might be because you need a wet container. Mine came with a dry container.
The 2 containers you mentioned are different. The wet container isn't tampered. The dry container is tempered to withstand great resistance to broken while grinding nuts and such. This is what the vitamix rep at Costco explained to me. From Vitamix website: The blades in our Dry Grains Container are specifically designed to create a reverse vortex, pushing dry ingredients away from the blades to prevent packing.

Really pricey at $600 + $150 for a misidentified size container. I know where I can buy an egg timer for less than $100, and glue it to the blender. The Vitamix cache is not worth the cash!
Ok. I put it simple and do not be suprised if you see my post underneath other VITAMIX videos but I cant help myself otherwise and am obviously very disappointed. VITAMIX is anything but reliable. After a while your highly likely run into the problem that your container does not get recognised. In my case right after purchase, basically right after unpacking, the container was not recognised. Vitamix sent me a new one but I should have already known that the design is flawed. Now, after 2.5 years, same issue, but no warranty! Meaning, the Vitamix is useless. Go for something more basic and reliable. The autodetect function is a big mess. I do not know how they could introduce such a fragile tech to the market.

Who wants to fiddle with the app on their phone to run the smoothie setting automatically? Not me. Unless you can demo how quickly it takes you.
You should grind coffee in the small ascent containers or the dry grains container.
