    There is an astonishing moment in this video when the speaker says he studied philosophy at college. He seems to have learned nothing about philosophy, and he certainly knows nothing about the nature of the scientific method.
    He says the idea of a God that is observable is absurd. Well, if God cannot be detected in any way, how does he know anything about God? That's the absurd idea.
    If I were to assert that there is a spirit living at the center of the Earth that is undetectable either directly, or by any influence that it has on the surface of the Earth, but I know a lot about its qualities, you would (or should) think I were crazy. If I said those qualities were of a personality that was intensely interested in the well-being of humans, that wanted men to keep their foreskins long and was happy for women to wear mixed fabrics and cover their heads or not as they pleased, would it require faith from you to disbelieve my claim about this Earth spirit?
    Like many religious people, this speaker has no sense of humor. He genuinely thinks that an astronaut saying he didn't find God was living in orbit can be used to make the false claim that science is trying to disprove the existence of God, and of course failing.
    Science is trying to find out what's true. If it turns out that God created polio and malaria, science will report that fact. Fortunately for religious believers, there is no evidence yet to support that hypothesis.

    It doesn't take faith to make observations about the world around us.

    I watched this video with the idea that the speaker might offer his own definition of "faith" at some point, but he did not. So, in the context of this video (assuming you agree with the premise of it, which asserts that "faith" is the basis of both belief and nonbelief in God), what is your definition of faith? Is this a dictionary definition, your own personal custom-made definition, someone else's personal definition?

    Inductive inference is NOT faith

    I don't need faith to reject your deity, it is clear to me that Jesus and the YHVH are just fiction. So, sure there are plenty of other fictions out there that would require a leap of faith too, but since I stay in reality I have no leap of faith to make.

    1 Corinthians 18-25
    For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19: For it is written:
    “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
    the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
    20: Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
    21: For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
    22: Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23: but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
    24: but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
    25: For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
