The media could have pursued the story. It did. And it has not found any evidence whatsoever. It has smeared a Supreme Court Justice. And the real bombshell in the book is this one: Leland Keyser, longtime friend of Blasey Ford said in the book she did not believe the accusation. And was actually pressured by allies of Ford to verify the story under threat of smearing her in the public. Legalities are real, politics are just ideas on the current state of the nation. Politics change legalities don’t. That’s why sunny is a lawyer and Meghan is just a political commentator. Just like a sports commentator vs an actual player of the game. Not saying that athletes or lawyers move over to the commentating side. But in Meghan’s position she has never been a politician. She’s just a privilege person who grew up with the GOP and now she wants to talk about all those conversations and talking points she’s heard all her life. Not everyone gets accused of sexual misconduct, but this guy did and it should be taken seriously. This guys behaviour during the hearing was unbecoming of a supreme court justice and his reactionary responses to questions alone were disqualifying. He is unfit for the court.
The question is NOT who edited the article about the incident. The question is if it happened and why it isn’t wasn’t investigated.
People see all the detective shows solve cases in 1h and think that things happens in the time it takes for them to order something online, while it’s more like waiting for a game to come out.
As for the woman who doesn’t want to be interviewed, she was unconscious and it was another person who saw it who reported it to the FBI, which got ignored..
No Sunny. Actually this was not a job for the FBI. The allegations were three decades old. The alleged victim could not say the time or the place where the events occurred. There was no police record of even a declaration of the victim. And the witnesses she put forward denied or could not corroborate what she said.
This was a job for the Senate Judiciary Committee, to question Blasey Ford discreetly and weight the relevance of the evidence. But let's remember that it was Senator Dianne Feinstein who sat on this allegation and actually did not inform the Committee Chairman until very late in the process. Most probably because it was so thin. Or out of malice to torpedo the appointment.
And the new allegations are equally impossible to corroborate, and fell apart in less than a day.
The media could have pursued the story. It did. And it has not found any evidence whatsoever. It has smeared a Supreme Court Justice.
And the real bombshell in the book is this one: Leland Keyser, longtime friend of Blasey Ford said in the book she did not believe the accusation. And was actually pressured by allies of Ford to verify the story under threat of smearing her in the public.
The behavior of the Democrats calling for impeachment, and the Media, has been an utter disgrace. In this there are no two sides: it's clearly one side who behaved badly.

Look how angry the "lawyer" got when talking about the FBI investigation into the judge. She believes that they did not do a proper investigation. However, she has no problem believing that the judge commited a crime despite the fact that there are no cooborating witnesses to the allegation, including the victim herself. It is "impossible" to conduct an investigation in a week. Actually, it is impossible to prove something didn't happen. Only that it did. For that, there has to be witnesses and evidence. When there are neither, a week is more than enough time.
