I haven't heard the term "sigma male" until today and after watching some of your videoes, I finally feel validated for being who I am. I turned my hobbies into a Livelihood; making design, animations, games and vizualisations in both 2D and 3D. All of the points in this video really applies to me, except for gardening. But then again as i live on my sailboat it would be a strange hobby to keep up with.
-Gym -Parkour -Trekking -Learning about spirituality, consciousness, energy and who actually controls the world (In other words: getting out of the matrix)
I relate to the last point. I read a ton of books on that matter. geopolitics, monetary systems, critique like noam chomsky, psychology and mass manipulation (walter lippman, edward bernays, gustave lebon), political power, authority and rules of rule (lobbyism, foundations, think tanks, mass media, etc). very interesting and mind boggling at times, indeed. the conclusions that come from this knowledge are fundamental, and oppositional to the narrative that media tells. covid, war in ukraine, false comprehension of democracy, economy.
So much of this hits home. I enjoy all things analytical(books, videos, statistics, games, etc.) My favorite hobbies are ones that I do alone or with my kids(hunting, fishing, gardening) but also feed my self sufficient nature. I enjoy my quiet time but also love music, especially complex rhythms and progressions that trigger me emotionally and analytically. I enjoy building things and learning how I can make things better like building application-specific engines, tuning my bow, or cartridge reloading to make more accurate and ethical ammo for my hunting rifles. The drive to be more efficient and self reliant is a never ending one.
ONLY RECENTLY have I discovered the profile of myself - a SIGMA MALE, knew I was not like most but now I know what to call it, pretty happy about that ! Am an INTJ who is 2% of the population
As a sigma male..I'm really into boardgames and cardgames. I especially enjoy those types of games that require me to think logically like: Magic the Gathering, Catan, and Splendor.
I dig that. catan with piracy DLC used to be one of my favourites, but rarely found someone playing it with me. try out "robinson crusoe" by pegasus games. author is Ignacy Trzewiczek.
I'm Sigma too. I do bike riding & trekking in Himalayas, reading, writting, playing & watching football( fan of fc barcelona), yoga, investment & stock market, documentary, having dogs company & gardening. Thanks man 👍
As a child, I watched nothing but documentaries. A hobby I kept my whole life. I have learned hundreds of topics over my time. My mind is clouded with random facts and knowledge that one doesn't need to know. Sometimes, it's a bother, I taught myself how to meditate in an attempt to try manage this information in my mind. Every hobby mentioned in this video, is one I have. Very nice to know that I'm normal, but just uncommon. For the longest time I felt like an absolute outcast. This video brought a certain peace to my mind. Thank you
@@sayandasgupta8271 I'm saying, a dude watching videos on youtube, talking about him being "special" to deny his himself accepting his own social incompetence instead of working on it, going to the beach and in the park to meditate, etc. is pretty gay. It'd be easier to accept the fact of you, being a social weirdo, instead of acting like girls are feeling insecure around you, because your confidence intiminates them. They probably feel insecure ralking to you, because you are a living incel post... no front, but get a life dude, the whole internet is laughing at you and your fellow "sigmas".
@@poppypopper1646 Well I don't care what others think of me and fyi I am married and have kids. So please go shit ur thinking some where else. I am happy being Sigma.
Great, this video makes me feel paranoid. Now I'm positive someone has been following me around documenting my life. Every single point matches me perfectly. This is so strange.
I am amazed at how well these videos about a sigma male describe me. Like this one fits except 16, gardening, I don't have the time for it to produce something worth while out of it.
It’s honestly insane how each and every sigma male video has hit each and every note of my personality on the nose… to think there are people just like me.. wired the same… makes you question everything! Reality as a whole! We’re we just some glitch in the matrix? Or put here for a reason to create change and keep good in this world.
Mine... Shooting and ammunition reloading... requires precision and experimentation. Building intricate RC aircraft...more precision and variability. Motorsports building/driving. Creativity and attention to detail. Reading...
Your absolutely right. Sitting alone and quietly or maybe some good music while reloading precision ammo. Researching, designing and experimenting to create the most accurate loads. Then testing your skills against other Marksman or to improve oneself.
Yea! Handloading, coyote hunting by myself, kayak fishing by myself, cad, 3d printing, gun building, I drive truck for a living, I enjoy being by myself. Its weird.. I like to talk to others but find myself not having anyone with shared interests. Its a blessing and a curse.
since I found myself last year my life has changed, I mean everything to perspective and old habits vanished. Instead of leaving a toxic relationship I decided to stay and figure the mind out and sure enough, things improved dramatically, learned some things that were almost too much to handle but I got through therefore stronger.. I've had a confusing life full of anxiety and depression because literally, no one understood me including family. They. all look at me as my mistakes and now hate me because I do not socialize or check-in which has never been me. It's a stunt to them thinking I'm mad at the world. They're probably pulling their hair out trying to figure me out or of course, making their win truths and going with that. this video is spot on I mean I'm in disbelief after all those years wondering and also the fact these sigma videos come popping out after I had a change of heart and brain. qrazy qrazy!
Hey mate, I feel you. I also kind of found myself and i feel like you. My close relatives were 24/7 tormenting me telling me why don't I engage with them, that I'm turning bad, whatever I just don't give a f I do what I want (i try to as much as I can). That's just because they miss your company or what you bring into them... But a relationship is made of two people, and i can't spend my whole energy into somebody that only drains me.
Something seems to be very CORNY and mentally exhausting to be one I would feel 😴😴 Sigma for sure. Now imma turn by myself and watch Anthony Bourdain no reservations to build an appetite and go out to eat at several places.. and work on my Ramen noodle business at 3 am in the morning😉
So basically we have ... hobbies as anyone else 😉 What I learned: sigma males tend to do stuff all by themselves. And they tend to analyse people. Both I can relate to.
We have hobbies that either test our intelligence, mental strength or physical strength. We analyze people, not to see if they are a narcissist or whatever; but what made them that way. We strive to always learn something new or know a little about everything. We like solitude and quiet.
I have been watching all videos disagreeing sigma ideas. But this one is truly they do exist. And they are very rare ,some don't know they are, some don't believe it,some get obsessed with being Alpha males instead of unlocking the sigma character 😉
OMG, art appreciation, reading, music, chess, coding, documentaries, martial arts, weightlifting: that’s all me. This is spooky as hell, as if I were an open book.
I remember every time I came to a new place or city, I could just walk around for hours aimlessly, exploring every nook and cranny and searching for anything unique. The other wierd thing is I had a phase in my late 20s were I got way into martial arts. I joined a dojo and everything. It's all I wanted to do for a while. Just find it funny it was on the list.
Clearly true. I have several hobbies. My biggest hobby is jungle expeditions and after that comes gaming, programming and drawing. Also I love to photograph animals and I had been climbing malk for 5 years. I also go to the gym 4 times a week for 8 months. I also love to go hiking in the woods by myself. I go every day at least 1h in the forest.
I'm an architect, and practice taekwondo, I enjoy taking photo's, art, and computers, I enjoy reading, and figuring people out. Make new travel goals every year. This year in November I'm going to Tanzania, for a missions based project.
OMG! I love traveling, solitude, thinking, doing nothing & everything mentioned here... Yes I love computers too!! Currently an IT student... Lol... Addicted to knowledge
Must say some extra information: That kind of personality used to have o be a little Asperger in some traits. The activities and social interaction change with the age, is not always the same; When older, get or need a little more social contact. The most: We performe much much better on things we like or select and are avoidant of the authority of others over us.
I just shook my head in disbelief! This is like looking into a mirror! 😮 I love music: as it turns out I especially like other ‘outside the box’ sigmas like Edgar Froese, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, etc. I have journaled a lot about people. I am a deep thinker too and I am always asking the questions. I am a draughtsperson too, and have been since 1987.
i have been a sigma male all my life without knowing it before recently. i guess people saw me as the wierd dude who have hobbies and interests that nobody else doesn´t have. creating things, and got solutions on problems in the jobs i had, that nobody figured out before.. drawing machines before i started in kindergarden, building model airplanes before i was allowed to fly my own airplane.. now i can fly paramotor.. i traveled around the world several times alone before i could speak english. yes alone, because i want control my own life.. 9 to 5 jobs, i hated it. not lazy, but easily bored in routines. the list is long. but this video nailed it. best regards to all sigma males out there from denmark
This is so enlightening, this channel is the first thing I watch on my spare time and when I get up in the morning... it’s dangerously addictive thank you wise thinker..
I volunteer at maintaining hiking trails in National Forest, miles and miles from people. LOL Designed a lot of hiking trail bridges and erosion control devices. Lots of non-fiction, wood working, gardening, and lots of prayer. This video is spot-on.
@@neosugarland7682 of course I’m not! I’m me! Not some meaningless letter of the Greek alphabet... I’m sure you’re an awesome person, but it shouldn’t be something as shallow as TH-cam clips that has to confirm it for you.
@@guyincognito3815 Lol, irrelevant response as expected. Everybody has their own beliefs in life. My beliefs cannot be exactly the same as others, as yours are different from mine. I have my own life and journey ahead of me and i respect the beliefs of others as they go on this journey called life. I am who i am and my beliefs should be insignificant to others as yours are to mine. Namaste
Anybody here also think these traits overlap with Capricorn male traits? I'm a male Cap. 2nd: Do you guys find you have girl problems? Women generally chase me, but the relationships never work. They either bug the shit out of me or they think I work too much.
Combining Thinking, Outdoors, and Doing Nothing is the ideal hobby. :) I could spend hours sitting silently on top of a mountain, in a forest, or staring into a fire. Though I love the tranquility of drawing, painting, ceramics, crafts, reading, and writing. I'm surprised Game Development is on this list, I actually worked on a few games and have a few WIP. Martial Arts, yup, that's me. LOL!
Wtf?!?! All 20 were exactly on point; gardening, martial arts, meditation, woodworking, jewelry making, logic games, architectural design-my favorite books are Greco-Roman & Renaissance architecture. Today I took a hike in the desert looking for bones & rocks (found a coyote skull & a few pieces of jasper in a wash), put money into an index fund, & bought a pothos plant on clearance at walmart for my room & I didn't speak to one single person today.

@Nancy Mora no every one can't be a sigma it has inhertedly lot of risk attached to Sigma being as a loaner but they make their own journey very romantic and full of adventurism that their partners never be able to get there as my own experience
Hobbies incl Mountain biking hiking kayaking Paintball Enjoy making and creating new tools I also do steel work art Airbrushing Restore classic cars This year i will learn to fly a plane and jump off one hopefully not at the same time
Well, if you survive the jump and the owners of the aircraft / NTSB don’t claim it your fault thus sparing you for monetarily, It would make one hell of a story. Just don’t hit the wing brace or elevators on the way out!
Checked 19 boxes. I don't actually do the meditation thing but some activities like listening to a certain type of music or hiking deep into the jungle alone, very early in the day, or scuba diving by myself ( yup i know it's risky but I love doing it by myself sometimes ) can have a spiritual effect on me.
I do believe in reincarnation. After watching these videos there's one thing I know: I don't care whether I'll reborn as a male or female, but please be a sigma. Once you tasted freedom and independence it's hard to let it go.
The first time I saw a sigma male video I thought “ok that does sound like me but it’s just a made up word” but then I realised all words are made up. I’ve felt like a bit of an outsider my whole life and never come across a condition that describes me as well. Sigma males are just as real a phenomenon as any other condition and this term needs to become more widely used.
Researching for mental stimulus, gardening, cutting, splitting and stacking wood. Taking on a project outside one's trade to challenge one's self. Pushing the limits of the mind and body, finding euphoria in self improvement.
I'm very much a Sigma. I build plastic models and have a model railroad. Incredibly solitary hobbies. I do a lot of the other things on this list also.
Was told I'm a Sigma male & have gone down an online rabbit hole of trying to find a reason why I'm not one. Day 3 & still no confirmation I'm not one.
I am all of pure Sigma and i knew it before, but recognized myself just recently i knew that i am very special compare to the others but couldn't make it

-Learning about spirituality, consciousness, energy and who actually controls the world (In other words: getting out of the matrix)

Wow... so that pretty much described me 100%.
Guess I am a Sigma. Never knew that was a thing.
No.... No you’re not.... please, just stop.

A sigma does not recognise as a sigma. Sad, but you're really not a 1 percenter.
Thank you
Yup 16 of 20! Never heard of Sigma until a week ago..always felt like I was cut from a different cloth and “none of the above” and now it makes sense.
I am a sigma male through and through. I love skateboarding - self progress, freedom and solitude!
Finding a cozy place on a beach or on mountain by the valley or park and thinking and enjoying your own company....Only sigmas can understand 😉

I did want to be an Alpha but this hobbies and traits suits me as a Sigma 💯
Something seems to be very CORNY and mentally exhausting to be one I would feel 😴😴 Sigma for sure. Now imma turn by myself and watch Anthony Bourdain no reservations to build an appetite and go out to eat at several places.. and work on my Ramen noodle business at 3 am in the morning😉
Sigma's are refined Alphas...

I was skeptic starting this video, but it was like looking into a mirror. Great video and have a nice day over there!
This is very accurate as it relates to how I see myself and what I can tolerate.

I love music: as it turns out I especially like other ‘outside the box’ sigmas like Edgar Froese, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, etc. I have journaled a lot about people. I am a deep thinker too and I am always asking the questions. I am a draughtsperson too, and have been since 1987.

Sigma isn't a group that you can define hobbies for. Like all hobbies, it is personal to each person.
Ah bless... this video not touching the spot?
Combining Thinking, Outdoors, and Doing Nothing is the ideal hobby. :) I could spend hours sitting silently on top of a mountain, in a forest, or staring into a fire. Though I love the tranquility of drawing, painting, ceramics, crafts, reading, and writing.
I'm surprised Game Development is on this list, I actually worked on a few games and have a few WIP.
Martial Arts, yup, that's me. LOL!
Omg all 20 , finally it’s great to be understood, and to realise you have a personality trait you can relate to.

I don't actually do the meditation thing but some activities like listening to a certain type of music or hiking deep into the jungle alone, very early in the day, or scuba diving by myself ( yup i know it's risky but I love doing it by myself sometimes ) can have a spiritual effect on me.
Solo experiences and hobbies are a form of active meditation. You don't have to sit still in order to meditate.
I love scuba diving, too, but doing that alone can be dangerous. Just saying.
Guess that explains why I love sailing solo so much. Nothing like watching the sun go down in the ocean with no one around for miles.
