ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

Really pretty! Lacking just a little bit of power on the chorus for me for this iconic song, but that fluttery vibrato was gorgeous and riveting in the verse and she displayed some really impressive agility here as pretty much every Mariah song demands.

I've watched several of the playoffs. Only 2 tonight did I watch the whole performance, and this is one of them.

WOW.. SO AMAZING AND CAPTIVATING AND IN SPANISH TOO... In my opinion the best performance of all. She is so professional, and this time with a difficult and beautiful song where she really shows her best. Gwen how can you stop her now? We certainly won't get the real winner in this jumble of judging. This is why NBC Voice has never delivered a winner who later became successful. BUT I am sure she will be successful if she continues like this.

Her voice truly shined when she sang in Spanish. On paper, she should have earned the slot in the Top 12. But many other factors come into play to translate this to reality, I guess.

Amazing song choice for Rudi! That was really bold of her to choose a hard song to pull off but she killed that! That was honestly her best performance of the season! Flawless performance! She, Kara, and Lennon were my top 3 favorites on Gwen's team tonight! I also loved Tanner too and Stee.
How could Gwen send THIS home? Are you kidding me??? Rudi is THE BEST, she could have won it all because so many of us who follow her since LTYH were ready to vote for her. Everyone is so talented but in my opinion team Gwen lost today. No chance her team can win against the other teams without Rudi. I really like Tanner but I just don’t see him winning over Ruby, Nini, Huntley, Mara? I’m still shocked and disappointed that I won’t get to see the amazing Rudi next week. I hope many doors open for her after this!

Silky smooth runs, and she looked stunning! She started out soft---then she showcased her vocal during the middle of the performance. Too bad she didn't get in the Top 12...this season is stacked. Not to mention I love her Spanish tone! Gives me a bit of Camila Cabello, is it just me?

Of all the team playoffs choices this was probably the biggest disappointment of someone not going through. I haven’t been too upset about any of the choices made until this young lady wasn’t chosen. 😞 She just kept getting better and better and for me this was one of the very best performances of the night. I love Tanner but Rudi imo should have went through before him.
You have to get used to it. When Morgan lost to Bryce well what can you say really? I have a lot of theories including coaches not having control after knockouts and voting public to be a disappointing and uninformed. Also, if they get a sense that the singer does not sing very modern songs then they reject the singer regardless of their quality. Basically it's what you expect

You know Rubi isn’t getting a lot of hype but she’s still here fighting and she’s just as good as the others main contenders. She’s defiantly the dark horse and will make it far. I was so disappointed Rudi didn’t get the opportunity to sing in the Lives.
I have some critiques like way too much disjointed, purposeless, distracting hand action…but Rudi is a professional singer.
She deserved the chance at America’s vote.
It hurt even more seeing Tanner bomb out on his Live and Save songs.
Rudi Was Gwen’s saving grace. Gwen messed up. That was my favorite performance in the show.
