Now is actually a good time of year to visit Joshua Tree, CA. The desert blooms in February. Joshua trees are related to a lily plant, and as such, they have large clusters of white flowers this time of year. The daytime temperatures will be in the seventies, cooling down into the forties at night. There are basically only two places throughout the globe where Joshua trees are a native species, the desert of California and Israel.

In the western part of AZ we have Joshua trees too. I love them! They are so cool! That AirBNB looks very cool! Thanks for sharing!

    What a funny coincidence!🤣
Now I wished I had watched your video before, but I just couldn't made it in time.🙈 (Holiday!)
But, back to the airbnb! It is very nice, fits perfectly into the desert and gives a really good impression on the National Park itself.👍

for the overall size of the house, there's minimal kitchen counter space. the staircase would prevent having even a small island for more space. good for a getaway, but not very livable.

American designed homes are I believe are really let down by the huge stove/oven combinations in the kitchen. Don’t understand why separate integrated ovens and hobs can’t be used like Europe. Much sleeker look without much sacrifice of cooking ability.

That spiral staircase in the middle of the floor is so impractical and subjectively an eyesore.
I'm usually not critical on designs. I wonder what the thought process was on that. There must have been a lot of discussion about it between the architect and client.

Great question! It seems to be fine esp after I put rocks around the house. They catch the rain and prevent it from splashing back up and staining the stucco.

Wouldn't call that small about the same size as my 4 bedroom in the UK. My layout just more compact, how we do in the UK. That said would never build were water suppliers and bushfires are a risk. Leave nature be.
