Why I am always afraid that she cuts her finger, as nervous and scared as watching a horror movie😂 During the show, she kept repressing herself and try not to laugh loudly😂
She is so relatable.. She says she is unskilled person in other aspects of life.. and now her she is improving herself.. Trying to be a better wife someday.. I my self is a wife now but my cooking is not impressive . I see my husband get disappointed because he is a good cook.. but learning is always be the good starting point in everything.. Its never too late to achieve something useful..
I'm sorry to say this but that's a pretty sexist and outdated mindset. I'm sure IU at least isn't learning to cook for a future spouse but simply for her own satisfaction or development.
IU cooked seaweed soup for the 13th anniversary. This is because there is a culture of eating seaweed soup every birthday in Korea. Seaweed is good for mothers who have given birth. So, there's a culture where I cook it for my parents or my children on my birthday.
You need to try again seriously, I hate Kimchi when I tried it for the first time, but I tried it again and fall in love with kimchi. And I made it myself and now kimchi is one of my fave korean dish, much more than tteokbokki. Now I'm planning to cook stir fried spicy pork but maybe I'll replace the pork with chicken. I never thougt that IU can cook this good. Because I always worry when she cut something. But getting cut in the kitchen is normal thing when we start to learn how to cook, right? You can cook better after getting cut like three or five times ^^ because we learned how to more careful with knife every time we got cut. Happy to see IU in new pov, IU is so wifey material in this Homebody Cook Channel ^^ Happy 13th Debut Anniversary, IU and Happy 13yo Birthday, UAENA It's 13 years AMAZING Journey with IU and UAENA! Thank you Kelvii!
Miyeokguk (seaweed soup) is a staple homecooked meal in Korea rich with various vitamins usually had on birthdays. Korean meals without either a bowl of rice or soup is considered incomplete like a burger without chips or coke. Kimchi is also extremely nutritious packed with probiotics like any fermented food and overflows with umami, one of the 5 basic tastes unfortunately hard to come by in Western dishes. Problem is proper kimchi is very hard to come by just like cheese. Supermarket kimchis are loaded with MSG so it's closer to junk food than a side dish. Best is to try homemade ones by Korean mums. Every household has a distinct taste and method. Kimchi also has endless variations made with cabbage, raddish, spring onion etc. again like how cheese isn't just cheddar but parmesan, blue and so on.
Kimchi is an acquired taste. For non-korean's usually you just have to develop the liking of the taste lol same thing for me before I didn't like kimchi when I first tried it. But after familiarizing my tastebud to kimchi and trying it multiple times I develop a liking for it. I love kimchi now!
why did i add water..keeps me laughing..it does happen when youre cooking..unlike in baking which is really based on measurements..just like what iu does i base the way i cook on guts😁✌️
