- An aerial view of the devastating effects of the ongoing torrential rains that have caused flooding in over 33 counties countrywide depicts a sinking nation, highlighted by submerged homesteads and farms, roads cut off and bridges topped by swollen rivers that continue to paralyze both road and rail transport. Even more worrying is the ever increasing level of water at the seven folks dams, that has seen residents along Tana River scamper for safety in make shift rescue centres located in public schools and in dire need of humanitarian aid. Seth olale took a chopper ride to take stock of the impact of the floods crisis.

Citizen TV's mandate is to "bring news" to the people of Kenya. The Red Cross and other aid agencies are mandated to provide those kinds of services. It seems to me that there are more than a few individuals (most likely sitting in their luxury Kileleshwa and Kilimani residences), who only wish to find fault, whilst failing to "lift a finger" to help those in need.
