Man this guy Reggie J. perfectly fits to joker play style. They understand each other so well, like they play 10 years together. I hope Reggie will stay in Denver for longer period.
Reggie is actually a rather poor fit for the Nuggets. He is basically a weaker version of Jamal Murray & is very isolation-play oriented. That is opposite of Nugget's play identity. The best fit for Nugget's 6th man in all of NBA is Bruce Brown! An ultra versatile, two way player, with loads of explosiveness & agility. He can play any position except "5" and played effective defense against nba's best. Brown was a significant part of winning the championship. He literally added to Joker & Murray to win crucial G5 vs Suns and G4 vs Heat! In summary, Denver is trying to replace Brown & Green with Jackson & Watson. Objectively speaking, they are a considerably different & weaker team because of this. If Nugget's owner would have been serious about pursuing a repeat, he would have found a way to keep Brown. It seems that the owner was pleased with the championship & will now focus on his two other teams from Denver, the Broncos & Avalanche...
There was NOTHING GM could do to keep Bruce brown. The new tax apron rule was an unforeseen circumstance. They’d have had to part ways with a starter in order to be able to pay Brown to stay there
