Really enjoyed watching this 4 day wild camping adventure in the Lake District! The new Bonfus Middus 2p looks like it held up great, and the landscapes were absolutly stunning. You guys definetly know how to pick the best spots for camping. Thanks for sharing all the gear info too - super helpfull
Hey Simon, really glad you enjoyed the video. It really means a lot when I get nice feedback. I think we were a bit lucky with the first camping spot, it was a stunner though. The Bonfus Middus is a cracking tent, absolutely love it. I've just checked out some of your videos and think they are great. So well put together.
Enjoyed this especially as showed the reality of the hard bits and tough weather too. Glad the pub food was good, what a treat during a wildcamping trip! Reckon your fitness is pretty good for those hills. I never get to the Lakes, cant face the long drive so I'll watch you!
Hey Lesley, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah it's a bit of a stretch for me tbh. I wish I could get up there more as it's just amazing. My fitness could be better tbh. Paul flies up those mountains.
@@Chilternwildcamper Yes I think so. I absolutely love the Peaks and in fact might be moving there at some point. However the Lakes is next level. You get the beauty of the English countryside, mixed with a epic mountain ranges. If you can get up there one day, I would highly recommend it.
@trickofthetrail I hope you get to move up there if you can, would love to meet up if you do, as I'm planning to move that way! I'm gonna be empty nest from next month as youngest is off to uni. I'm selling house and going to rent somewhere between Manchester and the Peaks!
@@JurassicRambler The tent weighs in at 690g. So not bad considering the space you get. I've only got the 1p inner, but might get the 2p inner for the winter. You're right. Can never have enough tents. Although I am going to be selling my X-Mid soon.
Nice one mate, I'm still trying to get through my footage. I remember it being sunnier! I'd forgotten that misty fog cloud stuff was following us around.
Hi, nice videos you make. Very entertaining. I am considering buying Bonfus Middus 2P with half inner. It appears from the videos and photos that the bath tub is quite low. What experiences do you have with drafts when it's windy and cold?
Hey mate. Thanks very much, glad you are enjoying them. The bath tub is low yes. It can be a bit cold and windy if you are out in those sorts of conditions, however you can lower the tent, so there is very little gap at the bottom of the outer. I was out in freezing conditions at the weekend, but stayed nice and warm during the night in my sleeping bag. Bonfus are bringing some solid inners out soon, so this will help in colder conditions. Hope that helps mate.

@trickofthetrail in your opinion is the Lake District on another level of beauty to the Peak District?

Oh yes mate. Love a good cloud inversion. That one was particularly good. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
FAB👍
New tent looks much better than the old coffin..
Ha ha. Yeah, it's what I should have got in the first place tbh mate. Oh well, live and learn. I still need to sell the coffin.
@@trickofthetrail I understand the Reason behind the trekkertent, but after a long day, you need that space, new tent looks amazing

Well it must have been, I got sun burnt. 🤷 My video made it look bloody grim. 😂 Was a great trip though. Apart from my stupid knee. 🙈
