  • Rare 1966 Lincoln Continental 2 Door Hardtop! Yes, most Continentals you will see have are the 4 door with the suicide doors, and 4 door convertibles. But most 2 door Lincolns of this era were Mark III's. You will rarely see this model in a 2 door hardtop, and it will ever harder to find one in such original condition as this one! Purchased new in Las Vegas, this example has only 71K miles on her. This is an unrestored example in excellent condition. It has had one repaint in its original color about two years ago. Leather, chrome, stainless all in excellent condition. The Continental came with a 462 cubic inch engine with a 3 speed automatic transmission. I can only compare the ride of this car to that of a Rolls Royce. I don't think there is a car on the market today that rides nice. Call us @ 813-340-0918 to make an appointment to see this beauty or see more at www.Blackjackmotorcarsllc.com

    There was no mark series in 1966, all 2 doors were Continental

    THE MARK SERIES RETURNED TO LINCOLN IN MID 1968 WITH THE NEW 1969-1971 MARK III.

    Its just beautiful. My Dad bought a used '67 Coupe in '73. He loved that car and as a kid l would polish it constantly. My Mom unfortunately totaled it in an accident . She was ok, but the car could not be repaired. I know we still would have that car in the family if that accident me er happened.😢

    The Mark lll was introduced in April of 1968, it was still on the drawing board when the car you have was built.

    They want 25.5K for it. That's actually not completely insane for this car.....

    Love this car and it is very rare to see, I do believe the suicide doors look awesome but everyone has one and they're not rare like this 2 door which I think ea the first 2 door coupe continental came out with in 1966,

  • @jeffneis553
    @jeffneis553 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The whitewalls as you said, are not period correct. Also they only made 2 door coupes in 1966, 67. 68 and 69 that was it. Beautiful.

    I agree 2 door Continentals are more rare then the 4 door versions but there’s NO SUCH THING as a 1966 “Mark Series” as you stated. The Mark lll (successor to the 56-7 Mark ll ) wss late 1969-71. So from 1958-1968 there was No Mark series unless you count the 1958 MK lll 1959 Mk iv or 60 Mark V. But those were completely different beasts

      @califdad4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually the Mark III came out late or mid 1968, but was considered a early 69, the first couple months as a sales ploy, it was limited production

    I took and passed my driver's test in a 66 dark green/gray with red interior 2 door Lincoln in 1970. Loved that car. I think the jack goes under the spare tire. Is this car for sale? I currently have a 2004 Mercury Marquis with just over 10K miles.

    Two minor corrections: The Lincoln Marks weren't being built in 1966. And the 4-doors were sedans, not hardtops. But your 2-door hardtop looks good!

    • @scottlogan2971
      @scottlogan2971 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wide white walls are NOT correct on a '66 and make it look pimpy. I'd lose those right away!

    Why do you have '50's whitewalls on a 60's car? Is this pimp my ride? May I suggest some shag carpet and maybe some longhorns on the hood?

    • @blackjackmotorcarsllc2785
