I'm at the beginning of a Dimensions Needlepoint kit that I bought on Amazon. It's a gorgeous bouquet on black. It's my first Needlepoint project. The first thing I noticed is your picture on the canvas is much easier to see than mine is. My picture isn't printed darkly enough. I'm struggling with it. I fell in love with Kaffe Fassetts needlepoint designs, I'm determined to do some. I have his Glorious Needlepont book published in the 80's. Now I'm seriously considering buying one of the Ehrman kits. I admire that company because they've set the bar really high for beautiful Needlepoint & Tapestry, and they kept the business alive when interest in the craft waned. I'm having trouble even finding good Needlepoint podcasts to listen to today. I've heard you should do the light colors first. I cannot believe you finished that in a month! Well done!!! Let's see the pillow once you get it assembled.
6 months love your unpacking and yarn organization methods. what do you call the " artists palette". so i can purchase it where? im in usa. subscribed darling! i start wherever i like starting with dark colors.dark colors
Well done for persevering, very contemporary, by doing the light colours first you can see them and then fill in with the black, black wool tends to shreds more furry bits, so they don’t get into the sewing of light colours as you go if they are already sewn in. Will be posting a follow up video of the tapestry this year. Enjoy continuing to stitch:))
Start in center basketweave when possible park lots of strands vertically use a chart never painted canvas though- want to learn how to do my own charts of my great grand mother’s paintings
I look for a colour and use that colour until it’s finished then I go to the next colour. But now a days it’s all my own designs. I’ve just finished on which was 6 feet by about 3 feet it took about a year to make in between other embroideries to that I made

Can you use water dissolving ink to darken the print up? But then wash it out with the print?
5 months. I love Erhman kits. I am working on one currently and have another one in my stash. I pick out sections and stitch.

Will you be showing how you did the blocking? Do you have any special method that you can share?
