Genuinely an underrated actor, Paddy. Fun fact, he grew up in Burton on Trent (my hometown and where I still reside) and he went to school with my Mum, they knew each other and acted in school plays together. Small world.
Criminally underrated film. I just don't understand how it is thus. Paddy's intensity is unparalleled, except perhaps by Temuera Morrison in Once Were Warriors.
Originally this film was going to be about the main character inheriting his grandfather’s shoes and finding an ancient riddle in the insole that took him on a journey around the world in pursuit of the lost Dead Sea Scrolls. In the end there wasn’t the budget for it so they made this.

Most underrated British film of all time.
Think you'll find it's rated quite highly actually. If you want a truly underrated Brit flick try The Bofors Gun (1968) or The Shout ( 1978).

Not even going to watch.......just wanted to say does he know how f-in menacing he is? Great actor......or maybe he just is a menacing individual.
