    🇺🇸 - In this Łódź, Poland Travel Vlog we will be showing you around the town. If you enjoy this tour, then be sure to subscribe to see our upcoming videos from across Poland. Łódź is also known as Lodz. In Polish Poland is called "Polska". It literally means "The Land of Fields" and it comes from the word "pole" meaning "a plain/a field". You should add Poland to your travel wishlist! In this Poland travel guide and Poland vlog we will show you The Land of Fields. Łódź is a must-visit spot if you're making your way to this amazing country.
    In this video we search for Polish souvenirs, stroll down Piotrkowska Street and try Polish food. We visit the Unicorn in Łódź, Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Łódź, Karol Poznański's Palace, Manufaktura, and so much more!
    For the first time EVER we are in Poland! This travel vlog will help whether you visit Łódź Poland in 2022 or 2023!
    This city is filled with creativity. The re-purposing of former factories is as innovative as the original designs for the buildings. So much art and culture was created here. I mean, how many places in the world have a walk of fame? Or a film institute with famous alumni? This may not be Hollywood but some call it HollyŁódź. This video will show you why Lodz Poland is actually better than you think.

    In case you are new here, we are Will and Katy and we are a married couple that hopes to show you what it is like to travel and shop around the world in 2022!

    Łódź is kinda hidden gem - there is really a lot to do with destructed buildings, but still a lot has been done already.
    In business meaning - curse of these days Łódź is that it is still a big city (before 1989 it was second biggest city of Poland with over 1 mln of citizens), but to near to Warsaw (so many companies locate their main qauters in capitol).
    But! There is a polish movie: Ziemia Obiecana by Wajda (based on novel by Polish Nobel's price winner - Stanisław Reymont), it was nominated for Oscar.

    Interesting look around the city, lots of cool places to eat and shop. Loved the alleyway of mirror fragments, what a cool idea - I've never seen anything like it before! Ten out of ten for the tourist information centre, very helpful and it's always good to get a freebie or two! The industrial vibes of the city remind me of the Tampella neighbourhood in Tampere, Finland - I really like the factory and brick architecture and how these previously redundant places have been repurposed.

      Yea, from a far in looked amazing at night as well. We weren't able to do it justice. Stopping into the Tourist Information Center before exploring is definitely the main tip we learned this year. They are so nice and can confirm if your research is accurate. That's cool that Finland has an area like that. We love this repurposed brick buildings! Thanks Matt!

    Poppy seed cakes are very popular and very traditional. Marcus's babscia made a poppy seed cake that is his absolute favorite and something Bella and I make him for his birthday every year--his favorite gift for sure. Lodz looks amazing and I have a hard time believing people said there was little to do there. Good for you that you went anyway and really found the beauty, culture and history there!

      Poppy seed desserts would not be our go-to before Poland but now we know they are really good. That is so special about Marcus and the cake. It's incredible how much nostalgia and happiness can be found in food. We highly recommend this city. ❤❤

    Poppy seed cake looks good! Looks like it goes well with coffee! This looks like such a vibrant and interesting city. Top donut there! Great city, needs to up its patch game!! Very kind tourist info though! Love the rose passage!! That’s a beautiful Christmas tree!!! Great city and great Vlog guys. Cheers 🍻

      @WITYTRAVELS  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, poppy seed cake is a nice compliment to coffee. We think this city was interesting! It was the only city that left us patch-less. Very sad. We learned last year that visiting the tourist information center is a must. Rose Passage was beautiful; need to see it one day in the bright sunlight. Thanks!

    I was always overlooking Łódź, as it was a regular Polish city, but dang it, you brought it in a very different light, and I feel like this needs to be seen in person ASAP! 😍

    I think their's no better way than to start the day off than a good hot cup of coffee and a pastry it just energizes the whole body we see all the rich old school culture from film to music and with the legendary pope john paul the second I see why poland was named one of the top countries in christian europe with a devout catholic faith following that rival's only Italy in their dedication to the church and I noticed also witytravels that the gloves are off today maybe not as freezing cold this day hopefully, and the one saxophone player my goodness I thought I was back in new orleans he was definitely feeling the music and I still love seeing the old fire escapes that long set of folding stairs behind the buildings not sure I would us them it would kinda be my last resort if you know what I mean witytravels this video has been a masterpiece on lodz poland it covered architectural buildings the music the food the culture and the heart and the christian faith of these wonderful people from lodz poland, Congratulations 👏

      @WITYTRAVELS  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree that coffee and cake is the best way to start the day! Such a strong Catholic faith here because of Pope John Paul II. He was Pope for my entire childhood. So I remember him well. It's nice when the gloves can come off for sure. New Orleans trip was so much fun! ❤🇵🇱❤🇵🇱

      Ty chyba najgorszego miasta w życiu nie widziałeś. Tyle wiesz i tyle widziałeś co byłeś 50 razy w jednym 😂.

    • @ColonelStanley
      @ColonelStanley 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Artuditu87 Przecież to jakiś słoik z Wawy, wychował się w jakimś pipidówku na Mazowszu a teraz zgrywa estetę. Nie zna historii miasta, nie wie co zrobiła z tego miasta komuna, nie wie czym był upadek całego łódzkiego włókienniczego przemysłu zaraz po 89tym, nie ma zielonego pojęcia dlaczego jest ono takie a nie inne... i nie wie co się w nim aktualnie dzieje... Rewitalizacje, budowy, remonty na szeroką skalę. Niestety Łodzianie nie są winni tego że połowa naszych kamienic nie była remontowana od 100 lat... a że jest ich więcej niż w Poznaniu, Wrocławiu czy w Gdańsku to pojawia się problem na długie lata. Poza tym struktura własności, miasto oddało 95 % przedwojennych domów dawnym właścicielom lub ich spadkobiercom i właśnie to z nimi jest problem. Tacy są najgorsi, kiedy miasto stara się rewitalizować większe tereny miasta. Liczyli że się szybko wzbogacą? Ale pomimo wszystko Łódź się rozwija, pięknie rozwija. Gość w d... był, g... widział, i tyle. Słoik i kiep. 😁👍✌️
