Nice !! Did you bike the carretera austral? How many days took you to bike from el chalten to ushuaia? Which route did you follow? I´m planning to leave from Puerto Montt seeking south, at the beggining of November.
Felipe Baeza Lehnert it took us 3 weeks to get to Ushuaia, at quite a relaxed pace. On the Carretera Austral, we just followed Ruta 7, and at the end, did the Villa O'Higgins - El Chalten border crossing!
Thank you! We took number 23, then 40, then into Chile via Paso Rio don Guillermo, then No 9 from Torres del Paine. No small salt flats that I can recall, but lots of pampas grass. Just used a phone for navigation, but there's not many roads down there so it's quite hard to get lost!
How did you get back to Chile and on which route/City? I am riding to Torres in February. I’m planning the trip, but so many bad info or no info. Thanks.
