I saved for so long to do this trip! I was very lucky that my work let me take a sabbatical and come back to my job afterwards 💚

Nice !! Did you bike the carretera austral? How many days took you to bike from el chalten to ushuaia? Which route did you follow? I´m planning to leave from Puerto Montt seeking south, at the beggining of November.

Felipe Baeza Lehnert it took us 3 weeks to get to Ushuaia, at quite a relaxed pace. On the Carretera Austral, we just followed Ruta 7, and at the end, did the Villa O'Higgins - El Chalten border crossing!

Nice trip, many thanks. Which routes did you take, did you come across any small salt flats and also what did you use for GPS? Thanks again,

Thank you! We took number 23, then 40, then into Chile via Paso Rio don Guillermo, then No 9 from Torres del Paine. No small salt flats that I can recall, but lots of pampas grass. Just used a phone for navigation, but there's not many roads down there so it's quite hard to get lost!

How did you get back to Chile and on which route/City? I am riding to Torres in February. I’m planning the trip, but so many bad info or no info. Thanks.

Adventure Bike Touring the campsite has to be booked in advance but I don’t know when I will be there. I just have to take it step by step. Thank you.

Adventure Bike Touring can I survive Cycling there speaking to the locals with English? Or must I know they’re local language at all costs?
